Thanks for the condolences, Nov. CalProg is in October this year, and they've yet to announce the lineup. It's an all-day event, with 4 or 5 bands. TFK were there in 2005. I can only hope that they, or at least someone of their caliber, will be performing. See below for the 2007 lineup. It was my first CalProg, and the bands were great.

Puppet Show

Spiraling

Frogg Cafe
http://www.calprog.com/Sounds/FroggCafe_Cars_snip.mp3
Jordan Rudess and Rod Morgenstein
1. http://www.calprog.com/Sounds/R-MMedley_snip.mp3
2. http://www.calprog.com/Sounds/R-MScreamingHead_snip.mp3 (the guitar you hear on this is actually Jordan on his Roland keyboard)

Here's a YouTube clip of Jordan's solo spot - he plays beautiful classic prog pieces that you'll recognize right away

Indeed, more great photos from COT. Where does the man get them from? cheesy

Well, I am right back in TFK mood now, and played The Sum Of No Evil again today - the third time in five days.
Stolt is a genius....
Ok, ok, I hate to use that word, there are very few true geniuses, but Roine is certainly a contender to be close to one. When his career is over, (hopefully many years from now) he will be reappraised and should, if there is any justice in the world, take his place amongst the all-time music greats. wink

Dug out and played: 'Paradox Hotel' today. Both discs.
Tremendous stuff. Also, Bodin's 'An Ordinary Night In My Ordinary Life' got an airing...
Bodin is a genius...(Oops, here we go again...) grin

Taking a break from TFK's for a day or two.

It's a Polish fest at the moment, but I'll be back.

A question for our Polish expert, Mr Demolinski - Is there a Polish band out there that has a sound close to, or reminiscent of, The Flower Kings?

Anyway, I'm still currently playing 'An Ordinary Night In My Ordinary Life'. Loving it more and more each time I listen to it.
I must get the two Bodin albums I haven't got soon; Pinup Guru & IAM.
Then maybe the Karmakanic albums, starring a certain very talented bass player from Sweden...

Reingold is a genius....(ok, I'll shut up now...) grin

Been playing Stolt's 'Wallstreet Voodoo' today, both discs. It hasn't had an airing for a few months.
Now it sounds better than ever!

Also had to watch 'Meet The Flower Kings' dvd today.
Sheer brilliance. wink

I've had it since the middle of last year, and watched it probably twenty times or so. I am rather partial to it.
I couldn't say whether it's better than 'Instant Delivery' or not, though. They are quite different beasts. Both are top notch, top quality, top dvds.
I enjoy both. wink

In order to fully appreciate any of the dvd's (and some of the longer cd's) you need quality time set aside to absorb the brilliance. smiley

Both dvd's are excellent, but you need a couple of hours alone to be honest smiley
