So does your Welsh accent come back when you're back in the homeland? grin

Whereabouts does your Brother live? I've heard from a friend, whose Dad is involved with Keltic Manor, that astronomical sums are being offered to people down there to rent their houses out during the Ryder Cup tournament in 2010.

Does you Bro' share your music taste?

Cheers

Flippin heck, you're talking stunning amounts of cash just to let someone stay in your house for a fortnight shocked
Like 5000 quid or something! Or more even!
My brother has a big place, in Magor, so he's having his middle daughter and her partner to stay for the fortnight while they rent their place out!
Also having his best mate and wife to stay while they do the same!
Then they are all going to split the total between them grin
Sounds like an excellent plan to me!
Prices vary according to how close you are to the M4 and the Celtic Manor. My brother lives right on the next M4 junction down from it.

Not really rolleyes

Back on topic, Space Revolver and Paradox Hotel for the trip down grin

Hi Nikki! I've been listening to TFK on and off now since Colin sent me all that music! Getting well into Stardust We Are and Sum of no Evil. It's not going to overtake Genesis though! Genesis are on a pedestel that no one will ever equal! Do like TFK though!

Excellent Lesley cheesy
That's the same for most if not all of us in here to some degree!
They would never overtake Genesis or Rush for me, but they are without a shadow of a doubt my 3rd fave band!
Although they aced it on the live gigs front this year though!
Top live gig of 2007 for me ....... TFK at Islington cool

Nov would be the one to tell you if they ever have smiley
I think they have, in the past.
Nov, Steve and Steph saw them at Rotherham last December, but that was the Classic Rock Society awards night.
Would be great if they would grin
We could bring Kev the Porcupine Tree fan too wink grin

Nikki,
I'm relying on you and Nov to get me to the next TFK gig in the UK, where ever that might be. Missed them once, don't intend to make the same mistake twice wink

My mate's Dad is involved in sorting this out for Celtic Manor (he's a member or something) and he mentioned sums of 10K a week(!!) when I went out for a few beers with him on Sunday.

It sounds like your Brother lives very near his parents. I'll find out where they are.

Well, they've played at Rotherham a few times (like Nikki said) and also at The Robin in Bilston (near Wolverhampton), but hey, London isn't too far from The Midlands, especially to go to and see The Flower Kings. If they only play in London again next time, it'd be a shame to miss them for the sake of travelling 100 miles wink

Rest assured that whenever any future dates are announced, we'll be all over them like a rash in this thread wink

Alternatively, we'll just ask Jo to contact her friend Tomas for "inside" Flower Kings news wink

Resolution eight for Steve's new year:

get back into the Flower Kings.

Got to get back into Roine's 'love is the only answer' type hippy vibe. (and for that matter that big cosmic fairy Jon Anderson's hippy vibe too! LOL).

Have a great new year Flower Heads.!
Steve.
