Indeed, Hydrophonia is a wonderful album! My favourites tracks are, in no particular order, 'Cosmic Lodge', 'Shipbuilding', 'Hydrophonia', 'Bizarre SeaHorse Sex Attack', 'Lobsterland Groove'...oh, I may as well just say the whole album!
It's a little different to TFK, but it does show off Roine's wonderful guitar technique, and his great ability to craft memorable instrumentals. smiley

Agreed.

I love this album. It's just gorgeous.

My daughter really loves 'Lobsterland Groove' and keeps asking me to play it wink

I posted it on Sunday Rosie so I guess you'll get it on Tuesday what with it being BH Monday.

Here's the set-list:

1) In The Eyes Of The World 10:38
2) Church Of Your Heart 9:10
3) The Man Who Walked With Kings 4:59
4) Big Puzzle 13:34
5) Self-Consuming Fire 5:54
6) The Magic Circus Of Zeb 7:06
7) The Flower King 10:32
8) I Am The Sun (Part 2) 10:39

I thought that I wouldn't hit you with any mega-epics just yet but did include "Big Puzzle" as Nikki loves it so much.

Can't wait to hear what you think of it smiley

Nikki,

I think that your next purchase should be the double "Stardust We Are". The title track (25 minutes of bliss) is many fans favourite TFK track and there are many more excellent tracks on this album with only the occasional piece that I can take or leave.

It's probably best to get the doubles one at a time as there is so much to get used to. Each of them lasts about 2.5 hours which would have been at least a triple album in old money. That's quite something to ponder.

The other one to consider is "Flower Power" which is Carl's favourite and contains the awesome 60 minute "Garden Of Dreams".

(you'll get them both in good time anyway)

Cheers

No don't listen to him. You need to get Unfold the Future for cd 2. That's CD2! Love doesn't really describe it. It's more than that.

And Unfold the Future is quite a good track too! But if you want to save the best till last then do what he says!

Steve

Firstly, Happy Easter to all on this rather joyful and gregarious forum!

Secondly....Nikki! Is that all you've got so far?
Good grief girl, you have a long way to go yet!

Personally, I'd forget all about TFK and start collecting Westlife cds, you will enjoy them a lot more you know!

(No! Only joking! Don't hit me again! Mother!)

Ok, let's see. I, personally, would leave the other three 'big doubles' till last. Firstly finish getting the single cds. Maybe get 'Adam & Eve' and 'The Rainmaker' next.
Those two are often considered the 'weakest' TFK albums, though that is nonsense of course! (No such thing truly exists!)
Of all TFK albums, 'Adam & Eve' is probably closest to 'Paradox Hotel' in style. Now, before Nov chips in here, that doesn't mean they are particularly similar, but I do think they have a certain feel that ties them together a little bit. In fact, 'Adam & Eve' is probably my fave single disc album by TFK. Some magnificent stuff on there. (Not saying any more, that's for you to discover!)

'The Rainmaker' is probably the most 'straightforward' album they have done; not that it doesn't have some great complex parts, and three tracks that last over eleven minutes on it! But it is a little 'rockier' than their other albums. Some wonderful songs on that one too, like 'Sword Of God', 'Last Minute On Earth', 'City Of Angels' and the magnificent closer, 'Serious Dreamers'.
'Sword Of God' is a pure rock song, on which Hasse sounds more like Paul Rogers than Jon Anderson. He sings it superbly, and I love that track, though not all FK fans do. He really is one of the best singers around today, to my ears, with a fantastic range. And he can reproduce it live as well, as you know yourself.
I realise you may already have some of these songs on Nov's compilation discs, but the albums are definitely worth getting.
After you have those two, then we will discuss the 'big three' doubles. Oh, and the two double live ones. grin
Now take a shot of morphine to calm yourself down, and attach yourself to a saline drip. Sleeeepppp.......
