My wife thought that was absolutely hilarious. Thanks a bunch Gooner grin

Even the "cartoon-me" on the Phantoms web-site has got a double-chin. What's all this about?

I mean, can you see a double-chin in this picture?

Great stuff:

How was the drummer last night? I bet he was top notch cool

I was concerned before-hand, particularly after the comments on the Flower Kings forum, but I've got to say I was very impressed.

He's a much more straight-forward drummer than Zoltan and maybe a tad rigid but he and Jonas seemed to have a good understanding.

The amazing thing to me is that this guy has had to learn to play the whole of the new album plus about another 90 minutes of TFK classics. When you think how many times you have to listen to TSONE to start to get to know it, that's pretty amazing really. I don't think he put a foot wrong all night.

I'm wondering if TFK might get a Yes or King Crimson support slot out of this...........

That would be awesome. Would definitely prompt me to see them if they were supporting Yes or King Crimson.

Hopefully you can tell from our enthusiasm that they are totally worth seeing on their own as well wink

Ok guys! smiley

Here goes with a few thoughts and pics!
You know me, there won't be anything technical in this review of the night, it's all from the heart smiley
This was the best gig of the year for me!
Absolutely no doubt in my mind.
This band are phenomenal. cool

Why do all the best nights go by so fast!? cry
Brilliant to meet everyone again smiley
Nov, Gooner, Jo, Fraser, Piers, James, and Nov and Frasers mates.
Had right laugh in the pub beforehand grin

The actual gig was wonderful in every way.
During 'Love Is The Only Answer' when Hasse sang the lyrics 'So the craziness begins etc .......' my favourite bit in that track, it was just orgasmic shocked
Plus if he'd tossed his hair back like that anymore than he did i just might have ......... shocked wink
Gimme an hour alone with that guy i tell you ...... grin

'I Am The Sun' was fabulous, i cried real tears, will never forget singing that with Nov and Gooner down the front, just brilliant.
Stardust was gorgeous as was 'What If God Is Alone'
Hasse really excelled himself.
Roine of course was a complete guitar genius i could have watched him all night.
Tomas and Jonas were brilliant and the King Crimson bloke on drums did a great job i thought!

What about Chris Squire being there though cool
I thought i was going to have to resuscitate Gooner for a minute there laugh
I asked Chris how he'd enjoyed the gig and he said he thought they were superb cool
Afterwards Roine, Jonas, and Tomas all came out to chat which was brilliant! See pics! grin
No Hasse though cry cry
Roine signed my booklet from TSONE which i'd bought with me for that very purpose grin
Plus i got Hasse's set list after chatting up a roadie while Gooner was busy chatting up Chris Squire ..... wink

Then when Gooner and i eventually got out of there and went to another pub for even more drinks
and to talk like mad things about how great it was, we nearly missed our respective trains home ...... rolleyes
But do you know what ....... i wouldn't have cared ......... Euston Station has some very comfy benches .........
when you've just seen one of the best gigs of your life it just doesn't matter does it?

Nikki XX kiss
