Hopefully the next time TFK play it'll be more convenient for you both.

No I didn't go , I am not into them as yrt though I have a couple of sampler cds . I also have some Riverside being done for me so a couple more bands to explore.
Once my new flat goes through ( which is taking forever angry angry) I will have a bit more time to explore more music. smiley

Well today's the day and I am well excited lol my FK debut , I have a feeling tonight's not just gonna cement my love for this band ( although I still have many albums to get) but take it to another level for me as well. You can love all the studio work but it's the live performances that get you really hooked.
I look forward to seeing everyone who's going later today. grin

PT and Riverside are pretty similar (to my ears anyway). They are more from the Floyd family tree as opposed to TFK being from the Yes/Genesis family tree (if you know what I mean).

Steve has made me a Riverside CD which I am enjoying more and more but it's much more basic music than TFK and less "colourful" to my ears. The same goes for PT in my book wink. When I think of PT music, I think of blacks, whites, greys, blues. etc and when I think of TFK music, I think of yellows, reds, oranges, purples, turquoise, etc, etc (if you know what I mean).

I hope they are going to live up to all my hype over the past couple of years and the thousands of posts. I also hope they haven't run into any moose in Kent on the way to London grin

They've had a couple of nights off so should be rested and ready to deliver their Swedish prog brilliance to us tonight.

They look so relaxed when they play, making their often complex music look like a breeze to play. I really don't know how they do it. Their relaxed nature extends out to the crowd which makes it all the more enjoyable.

In short, my friend, they will indeed "cement your love" for them as they did for me back in 2002 on the UTF tour (16th November, nearly 5 years ago shocked sh*t - doesn't time fly!)

I'm really looking forward to the gig but the mates I was meant to be going with (from up here) are all dropping out cry

One of them said he'd tell me why when I see him and another one (who was meant to be driving) has had to go to A&E with a bad tooth problem so he's on knock-out drops. That means his son will miss out as well.

I've asked a couple of my band-mates in "10 o'clock Curfew" though and I'm getting quite encouraging responses from them though so, fingers crossed wink

Whatever......I'm still aiming to get the 16:59 from Huntingdon so should be at Angel (and The Glass Works) soon after 6pm.

I'll have your ticket with me Jo wink

Cheers Nov. Am resting up lots today (last nights gig was brill but oh so very tiring!). We were right down at the right of the stage (first time for me to be that close at a Wembley Arena gig. So will be wearing me comfy boots tonight (Steph you know where I am coming from - my rock n roll feet need a rest! cheesy). Not sure what time I will get there tonight - hopefully 6ish. What time does it kick off at the venue?

I haven't been able to listen to the album as much as I hoped before the gig but.......so far I like Love Is The Only Answer, The Sum of No Reason but my current fave off the album seems to be Life In Motion.

My fave overall FK tracks still are I Am The Sun, and Back In The World of Adventures (also for some reason these have struck a chord with me and the circumstances I find myself in at the moment).

But being very new to the band I am just going to let the music find me tonight. smiley

Hi Jo

Just a quickie as I'm just leaving.

The others are meeting in the Glass House at about 5 and I should be there at about 6:15.

The tickets say 7pm but I'll be surprised if it starts that early. You never can tell though Please by at the bar by 6:30 if you can.

By the way, the ticket is 18 inc booking fee and all that crap.
