Simple question?

Is LOVE SUPREME the best epic ever written?
I'm really digging(can't help but use this word) it at the moment.

Oh heck. Played Adam and Eve tonight and I love it. I do not remember it being quite so brilliant.

The Blade of Cain..... Beautiful. I think I'm going to cry. LOL

Nov,

I'm barely a repeat visitor.
In 125 pages, I've posted in here twice (three times if you include this one).
And the worst I've said was they do nothing for me.
That's hardly calling them shite. rolleyes

If you don't like them, you don't like them. It's as simple as that.

That's untypically magnanimous of you to say so.
Hence my earlier remark about what gets my back up.

Nov, I'm not looking to have a back-and-forth exchange or create bitter feelings here.

Enjoy your music, Nov, even if it's not shared by all. smiley

Well Steve, it's great to hear someone else praising this album, which usually features quite low in other people's lists! I was wary myself when I bought it, having read lots of negative comments about it, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I played it.
I think it's a great album, still number three in my FK list.
To me, it's got a very nice balance of songs:
Two great epics, ('Driver's Seat' & 'Love Supreme') a superb instrumental, mentioned by your good self, 'Blade Of Cain', three brilliant 'shorter' songs, 'Cosmic Circus', 'Babylon' & 'Starlight Man' and a mock opera in 'A Vampire's View'.
Not to mention the powerful, tongue in cheek title track and the excellent 'Timelines'.
All in all, it's a well balanced, and quite diverse album, imo of course. (And it's got a great cover too!)
Enjoy it mate! wink

Hi Manda!
I too like it in Stockholm. But here's the big question for you: which football team do you support?
Hammarby, Djurgarden or AIK?
You tell me before I tell you! smiley
I too used to enjoy some Nik Kershaw. He had some catchy tunes.
What other music do you like? What's big in Sweden at the moment?

Oh yes, gave TSONE another spin today.
It's growing on me more and more.
I am starting to separate and recognise the individual tunes more now, and hearing more and more in each song. As usual, there are many hidden depths to this FK album. wink

'Love Supreme' is a superb epic. Very hard to place it amongst TFK's epics list though. I enjoy all their epics!
My favourite still has to be 'Garden Of Dreams', but as I say, they are all enjoyable, all memorable, to my ears.
cheesy

I was really surprised by just how much I enjoyed it. I will definitely be revisiting it this week a lot.

sorry but I'm not interested in football or other sports at all lol, so I've no idea really rolleyes how about you tho? smiley
ahh nice, I think he's amazing!
well I like loads of various artists from the 80's, and older music than that too, but also the latest songs they play on the radio.. it'd take ages to write them all down lol.. tho my favs are Nik Kershaw and Genesis, and all the band members' own work! that's what I like to listen to most smiley
how about you?
hm, there isn't any special artist or band that's particulary big here in sweden atm.. tho the ppl from the swedish idol are quite popular, and also all american popstars

Manda

You were asking about gigs in Sweden.

Well, our faves, The Flower Kings have got these dates next week (I've included the Norway one as well)

Tue Nov 06, 2007 Oslo, Norway Rockefeller

Wed Nov 07, 2007 Uppsala, Sweden Katalin

Thu Nov 08, 2007 Gothenburgh, Sweden Sticky Fingers

If it is at all possible for you to get to one of these then do so as they are a band for Sweden to be very proud of. I'm not sure how far you are from Uppsala (home of TFK) and Gothenburg.

More details at: www.flowerkings.se

Cheers

Nov

Maybe you could point me in the general direction of the thread where I said that huh

Ok Nov, it's YOUR thread, I humbly apologise for entering. Maybe I'll ask next time.

Yeah sorry mate.

It was just the double-whammy of yours and Wtchwood's posts knocked me a bit.

I was being a bit touchy that's all.

I'm feeling a bit down coz I'm back to work tomorrow after being off with back trouble for the best part of a month and I'm really not looking forward to it.

So, having my fave band knocked was a bit of a downer but no probs.

It's not my thread so fill your boots any time you like wink

Sound.

We'll just agree to disagree on TFK's, no hurt intended mate, maybe my joviality is a bit suspect sometimes embarassed

Good luck with work, I struggle going back after the weekend, so a month off will make it hard.

Yep, PT rules wink grin
