Thanks for doing my job for me Steve grin

You probably have more in common musically with Paloma so will know which aspects of TFK to suggest better than me wink

Are you enjoying your half-term?

Sorry Nov.

TFK are a great band.

My half term is ok. I moved a ton of gravel yesterday. Made the side of my house very tidy. Today I'm getting a new central heating system: the old one was very noisy and well old and inefficient.

I'm chilling out. Saw Wishbone Ash on tuesday which was fun. The best thing is that the jobs that needed to be done on my house are nearly done. It's very very cosy now.

Thanks for asking. Are you ok?

I still get a bit embarrassed thinking back to how gushy I was to all the TFK boys after that gig. They must have wondered who this plastered English fan-boy was and why I kept saying they should be 10 times bigger than they are grin

Oh man did you gush TO the tfk boys? I thought you only meant how gushy you were to me and Steph at the end of the gig. That's got to be embarrassing!! grin

Did miss your post. Sorry about that. I sometimes get twinges but nothing agonising so far.

I'm really happy about the work being done. Do visit if you are in the area.

Miss Richard Thompson? Wow you must be in a bad way. I don't know RT's work but I know he is very very highly regarded.

All the best

Steve

PS: Don't listen to Riverside if you are in pain. You need to be 100% to give a fair assessment. !!

Nov, I applaud your restraint in responding to that post, and you're absolutely right. If Riverside and Porcupine Tree are who Paloma is attracted to, then the vast amount of TFK's catalogue will not appeal to her.

As much as I must agree that there are some moments of genius on Paradox Hotel, for me, it is my least favorite, but then I love TFK, and am mostly attracted to the ethereal brilliance of most of their compositions, which aren't as approachable to most folk, I suppose, and aren't as available on Paradox Hotel.

'Nuff said cool

Interesting debate. smiley

I'm mainly a neo or crossover fan Paloma (as you know cheesy) but The Flower Kings offer the Symphonic appeal. Gotta say that it really does take time to sink in. Also I will say that after listening to Paradox Hotel I wasn't impressed and tended to ignore these threads. Now though, I have seen the light. They are superb especially Flower Power.

So you see COT, you can love all the prog rock genres. rolleyes

So you like crossover as well, eh ? cheesy cheesy

Iīm wondering to myself that, if I like PT and itīs incompatible with TFK, then why I enjoy so much with PFM, Camel or Neal Morse music.... rolleyes
