You have a straight choice between them playing the whole of "Garden Of Dreams" or Hasse playing the whole concert with his top off.

I just sent Roine and the band an e-mail from their MySpace site asking them to come to Southern California. I'm so jealous that you Brits get to see the band. Europe has always been a hotbed for prog.

America cannot seem to get beyond the 2-minute pop hits that have been embedded in their brains by the lame-ass radio stations we have here. My dream would be to start a progressive rock radio station, but I bet no more than 10,000 listeners nationwide would tune in.

Anyway, I can't wait to hear your reviews of the show in London.

Great piks there CoT. Where were they taken?

I hope you get a reply from Roine and really hope you get to see the band in Southern California.

I'm always exchanging e-mails with Roine you know...........well, I've had one anyway grin

Have you noticed on the TFK Myspace, in the blog section, there's one called: "FLOWERKINGS TOUR NOV"
So, they had a blog especially to tell me they were touring..........which was nice wink

Looking at their concert history, they have played several shows in California in the past so you never know wink How far are you from LA?

Indeed, they are splendid pics COT, you certainly know where to find the good ones!

Funnily enough, I was chatting to Roine over a pint down at my local last night and he said: "I've had too much to drink, I'm off!" And off he went.
Hasse continued for another hour though, until he spilt his pint and collapsed on the table, victim of a beer shampoo.
(I was having my stomach pumped at the time, and only heard about it later.)
Welcome to the wonderful wacky world of Chessman, volume 3! grin

It's official! The Flower Kings are now in my top 200 bands, straight in at number 197! Amazing!
(Yes I have got better things to do, and I'm off to do them, we're snowed under in work lately.)

Ok, does the phrase 'playing the whole album' include the 3 bonus tracks i wonder? Cos i bloody well love them all! grin

The River is a real fave TFK track now! Had the same effect as The Magic Circus Of Zeb did when i first heard that!

So i guess any of these would be in my 'orgasmic TFK tracks to see played live' list .......

Any sections of Garden Of Dreams grin
Deaf Numb and Blind
The Magic Circus Of Zeb
Devil's Playground
Silent Inferno
Church Of Your Heart
Stardust We Are ( in full wink )
I Am The Sun ( the whole flippin lot grin)
Rumble Fish Twist
Monsters and Men
Touch My Heaven
Life Will Kill You

That's another set right there grin

God i love this band.

Great choices there Nikki but that's what I feel they will play out of your selections wink

The thing is that Roine has said that they are spending lots of time rehearsing the new stuff so they are more likely to play stuff that is already well rehearsed from the PH tour rather than any real surprises. It'll all be fantastic anyway wink

Your Flower Kings year couldn't have gone more perfectly could it, in terms of timing?

1) Introduced to them in January.

2) Fell head over heels.

3) All year to accumulate the albums and become familiar with them.

4) Fantastic new album with a few weeks to get to know it before the concert.

5) Concert happens not to clash with all the other gigs you're going to.

6) Hasse whisks you back stage at the Carling Academy for some cosmic love.

Amazing when you think about it wink

(one of the above has a fantasy element)

Well you did say dream set Nov grin
I know the majority of those tracks would be highly unlikely, but fantastic if they did get played.
