Loads of times and I know Malcolm (who runs the business)

When I lived in that area (near Kingston, Surrey) I used to go and see Malcolm in person to buy my CDs direct from his "shop".

He runs his own prog label as well (Cyclops) and promotes many artists on there so you might like to check some of those out wink

He's basically flying the flag for prog rock as much (if not more) than anyone I've met in the last 10 years.

I hope you actually get the CD now grin

I too have dealt with Malcolm regularly over the last three or four years, and have always found him to be friendly, honest and approachable, though I have never actually met him.
His prices are competitive, and he usually delivers a prompt and efficient service. If I order on a Monday, my parcel will arrive by Wed or Thursday. And as I always pay by cash, there is no postage to add, and I get a pound off each cd I order!
He has stopped sending out his catalogues, as they were becoming too expensive to produce, but his online catalogue is regularly kept up to date. And with each order he sends out some leaflets with latest offers and such like on.
I recommend him heartily! cheesy

Had a really good listen to the new album today.

It's really fantastic actually. So much better than Paradox Hotel in my opinion.

I have been thinking about my current favourite track on the album but I couldn't decide between Flight 999 Brimstone Air, Life In Motion or Love Is The Only Answer.

Very impressed especially as I found this band extremely hard to appreciate when I first started playing their music.

This is on a par, if not better, than Flower Power.

The video footage is brilliant too. Great value for money, pity the disc wasn't dvd though, but that's a small issue really.

"The Sum Of No Evil" is definitely at the top of my TFK list, as far as favorites are concerned. I have "Flower Power" on order, so will have that to enjoy soon. I'm familiar with Garden Of Dreams from the "Meet The Flower Kings" DVD.

As for Paradox Hotel, I never was big on that one, but did spin it recently and thoroughly enjoyed it, almost like hearing it for the first time. My problem with that album is Marcus on drums. I have always preferred Zoltan, but Jaime is definitely a winner as well on the earlier stuff.

I, too, love the video footage on TSONE, and I've been trying forever to load it on here, but I think the file is too large. It won't transfer.

I visited my local fave music store yesterday, hoping to pick up a couple of TFK CDs missing from my collection, and he had nothing new for me. I complained, saying I'd much prefer to support his store than amazon.com, but he says too few people come in to buy prog rock. Hip hop and rap are the hot items.

I've always loved that store because they have a PROG ROCK section, but I've really watered the choices down with my mega-purchases the last few times I've been there. I instead bought some Porcupine Tree and Camel. Not a bad alternative. Still need about five TFK CDs though.

This is going to be my only little gripe too. With my computer coming straight out of the ark (can't afford a new one yet) I will have no chance of watching the videos on it.
I too wish this footage was on dvd, but nevertheless, I will get to watch it eventually, and I am looking forward to the bonus tracks anyway.
Maybe the album will arrive this week...I can hope, can't I? cheesy

I know what you mean wink

I'll let him off though coz he obviously really flys the flag for the TFK boys.

There were questions I was willing him to ask though but he missed the opportunity undecided

I've just canceled my order for Flower Power with amazon.com, since they weren't going to get it to me until mid November (don't they realize it's TFK?) As previously posted, I reordered Flower Power through the outfit Nov recommended.

Since the order I had with amazon.com was a freebie (gift certificate), I changed my order to "Back In The World Of Adventures." I had enough left over on the certificate to be able to upgrade to a 2-day shipment. Should be here by Thursday.

I know what you mean. I'm on about my 7th listen and it's still like listening to it for the first time wink

It's a lot less immediate than PH for example.

This just in..........

PPRC MUSIC are proud to announce highly popular Swedish progressive rock group "The Flower Kings" as headliners for the final day of ROSfest 2008. The band, at first put together to be Roine Stolt's backing band while he was promoting his solo album "The Flower King" in 1993, evolved into a band project after that tour. In the 13 years following the end of that tour, The Flower Kings has established themselves as a household name in the progressive rock scene, being one of few bands pursuing this musical style today that have a wide commercial appeal. The Flower Kings are one of the most prolific progressive bands, releasing 10 studio albums, three live albums, and numerous solo and fan club albums over their history. They have played numerous festivals over the years, including CalProg in 2005, Symforce in Holland earlier this year and Prog in the Park in 2006. As of today The Flower Kings are Roine Stolt (guitars, vocals), Tomas Bodin (keyboards), Hasse Fröberg (guitar, vocals) and Jonas Reingold (bass). The band is currently without a regular drummer. They are now out of the studio and just released their latest album, "The Sum Of No Evil", at the end of September and will be featuring tracks from this album, as well as their previous hits and they are now ready to come stateside at RoSfest 2008.

Be sure to head on over to the RoSfest website and check out the Flower Kings page
