Well it's very quiet on here!
I think it's the calm before the storm of the new album and live shows myself smiley
( Just for Nov tongue wink -see TFK thread on other place for explanation!)
Then this thread will be back to buzzing as usual grin

I'm not sure what's happening with this TFK London gig but I've only just found out that they appear to be playing at the Carling Academy (Islington) on 11th November instead shocked

The gig isn't actually listed yet but it is in the "Buy Tickets" section:

http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=239321&interface=islingacad

Why isn't this news plastered over the prog sites and forums. It's pretty frustrating to be honest huh

Here's from a blog over Tomas Bodin's MySpace:

BTW...We also have small but important changes in the tour plan. Our London gig has moved to a new better venue. Check out our tourplan! A new gig the 16 of November...venue is TBA

The brain dead at Tower.com just notified me that "Sum Of No Evil" is backordered. I placed the preorder on August 27th. Assholes!

I just now ordered it from amazon.com, and they say it's in stock and will ship tomorrow.

I can't wait.

I've also been waiting an inordinately great amount of time for my CD/DVD combo of The Tangent's "Going Off On One." They only made a few thousand of these combo special edition sets, and everyone else says they're SOLD OUT.

I've had my preorder with amazon.com for over 1-1/2 months, and now they say it's backordered, but that it will definitely, probably, maybe ship by October 24....unless I want to cancel. I would cancel, but I can't get the special edition CD/DVD anywhere else.....Is it October 24th yet? rolleyes

Here's the latest blog from Roine......

Hey ,

One week after SYMFORCE,the Progfestival held at Tilburg 013 o sept15th .

We got home safely . We felt the gig was OK, or maybe even a bit better than OK ......
I at least had lotza fun and really enjoyed both the audience and being back at 013 ,one of the greatest venues for prog in Europe ..... " feels like coming home ".

There were lots of interviews and somo record company meetings I had to attend during the afternoon but I got a chance to see FOCUS, one of my old fave bands.
What a magician he is,Theijs Van Leer, his beautiful hammond harmonizing is so
captivating and unique, a true master.

The festival was well attended and definitely in the league of Nearfest ,as far as size ,
but lights and sounds were even better, unfirtunately I didn't get a chance to see or meet any fans , I apologize for that .

On the light and sound side I'd like to give a big thanx to our illuminati team , Chris Curran ,lights and Per Nordin that created the visual backdrops .
This time more psycedelic than ever .

You can see some of it here :
http://www.flickr.com/photos/13956460@N06/sets/72157602102697386/

very cool.

As for the on stage statements the Zoltan "was leaving the band" or that it was "the last gig ever".......
Hmmm.... I'd like to tone down that a bit, Zoltan did a fabulous job,I enjoyed the heck out of it and if time is right I can definitely see us playing together again .
After all it's just music, not a marriage,we have not promised to stay true forever.

I know it may be VERY hard for some fans to understand WHY Zoltan won't play with us in november and I'm afraid it would be too complicated and risky for me to even try to explain why .
Let me just say that we all absolutely love what he did on the album and that we hold his playing in very high regards, all of us .
Furthermore there is nothing fishy going on,there are no fistfightings,no drugs,no
outbursts of any kind and the gig and the recording was handled in the most professional way by Zoltan.
So there is nothing underlying to understand, just the fact we will do the tour with another drummer, not a better drummer, just another drummer.
So relax and see what the future brings.

Now we're gearing up to get the chops going and learn the tunes, all the equipment
in shape and whatever light and sound production there is going to be .
We hope to take you on a slighly different trip this november so remember this might be your one chance ever to see the Flowerkings with Pat Mastelotto(King Crimson) playing the drums for us.

When the record is out in a week from now you will start getting into the tunes and
you can start imagine how they will sound live ............awesome I'd suspect.

Help us make this tour both successful and worth remembering by telling all your friends to buy a concert ticket or two.

See you in november then .

Roine .

Ah, so that's why.

I just get nervous with these kind of changes so close to the actual date.

Has anyone been to this venue?
