It's not confirmed yet but it looks pretty solid. Check out their Myspace site.

I've never been to the Scala. It's actually really handy for me as I can go from Huntingdon to Kings Cross and it's 3 minutes walk from there. What's it like Nikki? The area has been rather dodgy in the past hasn't it?

Here's the Scala web-site which includes pictures of the venue:

http://www.scala-london.co.uk/scala/

The gig isn't listed yet but don't worry about that.

Yep, well dodgy! Still is to some extent, but it's fine!
Spent a lot of time there in the 80's when it was a cinema, late night rock movies, Pink Floyd, Zep etc, and there was a great Australian drinking den round the back of Kings Cross ....... but i digress!
Yeah, i thought it would be dead handy for you from a train point of view!

Yeah, had a look at the venue, looks pretty good!

Just had Gooner on the phone again ....... Roxanne this time! His singings very good, very loud, but there again i suspect he's very pissed wink laugh

Comments on the new album from someone on the TFK forum:

ok i had this cd for bout 6 days now it hasnt left my cd player,Very rarely does alblum strike me point,Where no matter how many times you hear it its no enough.....

This alblum i have listened to bout 50 time in on week i never done that with any alblum except maybe relayer and roll the bones by rush......

This to me is greatest prog alblum ever, this cd will be looked at years from now as highlight classic in prog......

they did it finally did it roine and the gang thanks for such musicanship, over the years, the rainmaker is nother fave mine that sticks out but sum of no evil i call it the relayer of cd of yes... he he....

Love Is the only answer roine stolt, Its what u feel in the end you invest all your love never ask for payback... This song is such good tune...

yes flower kings yall done this with each cd, Put so much love in it emotion of love so we feel the music is so rich optismitic....

and never ask for dimeback just our love appreciation for yalls music,One day my goal is to do tribute concert and cd of yall music as homage thank you letter....

I hope one day orchestra can do cd of yalls music to big chamber one not just string quartet like dt has gotten so far......

peace and love,
John Crout

And from a Yes fan on the Spock's Beard site:

All the hype is true. This without a doubt is album of the year unless someone comes along with the incredible in the next three months or so to knock it off. Roine gets back to basics which made The Flower Kings one of the all-time favorite bands in prog beginning with his solo "The Flower King" back in 1994 and is the sum of all talent as a songwriter and musicianship with all of his old familiar band mates. It is what you expect from the prog giants and much more. Lucky me, I got to hear this great album over the weekend.

Well, just for fun I thought I would try to put the Flower King's nine studio albums in some sort of order.
Yes, I know I've said before it's a practically impossible task for me, and it is. And this order will undoubtedly change on a daily basis.
I think all their albums are very closely matched to be honest, not something that can be said about many other bands/artists. (Not even Genesis!)
But, as this goes to press, my current order for the nine (my Nazgul list) is as follows:

1) Flower Power (Surprise surprise!!!)
2) Unfold The Future
3)Adam & Eve
4) Paradox Hotel
5) Back In The World Of Adventures
6) Stardust We Are
7) The Rainmaker
8) Retropolis
9) Space Revolver

I'm not including 'The Flower King', that just makes it harder! Nor the live albums or compilations!
Of course, this list will soon have a tenth place to be filled.... grin
