Well, watched my Transatlantic dvd again today in its entirety. As with most dvds, I enjoyed it more the second time around. Funny how you pick up things that seem obvious, yet were missed the first time around!
Brilliant! Not sure about the Beatles medley they intersperse with 'Suite Charlotte Pike', but the whole thing is really very good, considering they all come from different backgrounds and groups.
Recommended!
May have to get the 'Live in America' dvd now, though I have read mixed reviews about that one.
I'm sure some nice people on here will tell me if it's worth having or not. wink

I agree, gooner! Far too easy to give in to temptation, especially after a couple of pints. No wonder the bailiffs are coming out next week to repossess the house! wink
(They're not getting my cds though!) grin

Naughty girl !!

Having said that, this is one of the best investments you've ever made.

Sit down with a bottle of wine to watch "Meet The Flower Kings" and sit with open-jawed amazement at how brilliant these guys are. They make their beautiful and complex music look so effortless to play. You will love it. The little tour documentaries are really nice as well.

The only thing that irritates me on their DVDs is when they transpose in pointless images of people dancing or psychedelic patterns. Whoever does this should be stopped immediately!! It's the same on Instant Delivery. I want to watch the guys play not some crap pattern.

You've purchased 2 versions of the wonderful "Humanizzimo" (which you haven't heard yet). You will love it.

In short....you will love all of that stuff.

wink

How eloquently put, Nov!

I suspect Nikki will be quite pleased with it on the quiet. And Hasse is the one who has changed the least from then to now. wink

DO NOT GET THE "LIVE IN AMERICA" DVD. You will be greatly disappointed. I never watch it anymore, not since I bought the "Live in Europe" DVD.

Neal has admitted in interviews that they had only played together a handful of times before recording that show, and it really shows. Very sloppy, lots of mistakes.

The Europe DVD was probably recorded because the band was so unhappy with the America DVD.

So Dave, what's your real opinion on it, honestly? grin

I had a feeling that would be the general consensus of opinion on it. I had read it wasn't too good, which is a pity. But thanks for confirming my suspicions!
I will stick to the live in Europe dvd. wink

I agree; although I've still only watched 'Live In Europe' twice, I already love it, and am looking forward to Saturday afternoon, when I will be able to sit down and watch it again! cheesy
