I can be a night owl myself occasionally, but that damn thing called work usually gets in the way most of the time!
Think I'll pack it all in and become a roadie for TFK - good pay, good company, good music, good gossip... good heavens! Why am I still sitting here? shocked

I was thinking that myself. They must be going soft in their old age, settling for a one disc effort. Obviously their hearts aren't really in it any more. grin

So you pre-judged them and have then written them off based on a 2 minute clip?

How would you feel if someone wrote off the whole of the career of Genesis based on a 2 minute clip?

It's beyond me how someone can like Genesis and not enjoy the first of those videos. Or maybe you're just not much of a prog fan mm? I suppose that if you maybe don't like Yes then I could understand why you wouldn't like The Flower Kings. Does that explain it?

undecided

Nice youtube tasters, Nov. I think it could be a good one. The band certainly seem happy together in the studio.

That's something else I like about the band. They all seem to get on so well. They can have a laugh, yet, when necessary, immediately switch into total professionalism.
As Roine said in an interview, they have never been a band that has needed alcohol or drugs to have a good time, they just love doing what they do.
Just think of the egos that have spoiled some bands. Just think of the infighting that used to go on in bands like Deep Purple, Sabbath, ELP, and even Yes at times, and you can see that TFK already have a great advantage.
This band (as I've said many times) are going to be big in thirty years time. Just a pity that they aren't recognised now for what they are by the vast majority. Watching some of the bands at various televised festivals this year, I think it such a shame that TFK, musically superior in every way to many (all?) of those bands, are so little known.
But let's remember, we are the lucky few who were in at the beginning, at the birth of a biggie. (Now that's a phrase that has been used in the past, in the early days of a certain young band called Genesis in fact!)

Spot on mate, cant stand Yes!No not a big fan of prog, very much of its time,ie 1970s IMO. smileyNot to say there is some prog I love, but all these modern prog bands sound like Yes/early Genesis, heard it all before mate, leaves me cold, sorry!Just an opinion, lets not fall out over it! wink

God knows why though cos they're brilliant! grin
If we all liked the same stuff ......well ........ there'd be bugger all to argue over would there! laugh
Nov is very passionate about the band, but i'm sure he'll take a deep breath before replying to your post wink grin Of course he may not and just have a rant anyway! wink Just kidding!
You like what you like and thats it!
