OMG, Nikki, I thought you'd already seen "Meet The Flower Kings" on DVD. It's everything I can do not to play this every week. It's too good for words; "ORGASMIC" as you would put it.

It's one thing to hear these great musicians through your stereo, but to see them actually playing this stuff, as good or better than you hear them in the studio, is nothing short of amazing.

I envy you that you're a MTFK virgin, as we all once were. To see it for the first time, I wish I could be there to witness that Nikki.

That DVD, to me, is the icing on the TFK cake, but I'm hoping that I get that same feeling with their new CD in September.

I agree with everything COT has said here! It really is a brilliant dvd. Totally different to Instant Delivery, yet maybe even better, and that's saying something.
I do have a couple of minor quibbles; you don't see enough of Daniel Gildenlow at times. Even when he's singing, the cameras don't always show him, and it looks strange.
Also, Mr Bodin's keyboard solos are often kept off camera too, which is a shame. I'd love to see him up close more.
Nevertheless, the whole package is a sheer delight, and I probably have played it, or at least one disc of it, every week since I got it over a month ago.
(Though I did play Instant Delivery again at the weekend, just for a change!)

And earlier, I played Retropolis, followed by Transatlantic - SMPTe.
Two superb albums, I'm sure everybody will agree. cheesy

Hi Colin.
Space Revolver? Are you looking for an opinion on it? If so, then you'll find that it's often regarded as their best album. In fact, I suspect that, in a poll asking the question 'what's your fave FK album?' Space Revolver would win it, probably just ahead of 'Stardust We Are'.
Nov loves it.
Personally, it's actually my least fave of all their albums - but it's still a mighty fine piece of work. Just a little too heavy in parts at times, on tracks like 'Monster Within' and 'Underdog'. But it's great, of course.
It has the classic 'I Am The Sun' part 1 (kicking off the album) and part 2 (surprisingly ending the album!)
Also there are other great tracks like 'Rumbefishtwist' a brilliant instrumental, and 'Chicken Farmers Song', a lighthearted little tune with Yes like harmonies from Hasse and Roine.
If you get it, you'll like it! It's hard to compare it to another FK album, as it doesn't sound like any of them really. I suppose the closest album to it, here and there, would be 'Stardust We Are'. But they are not really alike.
Think I'll give it a spin myself tomorrow. wink

Nothing from "Space Revolver" here, but there are some great songs to be heard. Click below, scroll down halfway and click on any of the four songs. They will play the entire song, each one in succession. Just sit back and enjoy. Crank it up will ya?

If I had a bit longer I'd try and hook up with you Steve. My mate Fran is taking me out for a few jars tonight. Down in Hebden I presume.

Anyone heard any of these Roine Stolt solo albums? Any reviews or comments?
