Whilst I really liked the first albums, the later ones didn't appeal to me as much. The few snippets that can be heard from the new one, though, seem promising.

You should check out their new DVD - "Going Off On Two" - 5 stars!

Wow!

I truly hope the Also Eden album is up to scratch. Not so impressed with the new vocalist after hearing the EP, great band nonetheless.

From Burning Shed:

Airbag
All Rights Removed (cd)

Airbag returns with its second, highly anticipated album.

A bigger and bolder variation on the atmospheric Art Rock of the acclaimed Identity, All Rights Removed once more creatively straddles the middle ground between the Progressive inclinations of Porcupine Tree and Pink Floyd, and the Epic Pop of Talk Talk.

Pre-order now for 17th October release.

A few more:

Dream Theater - A Dramatic Turm of Events (September 12th)
Umphrey's McGee - Death By Stereo (September 13th)
White Willow - Terminal Twilight (October 11th)

Umphrey McGee is not strictly prog, perhaps, but 2009's Mantis was a pretty fine album!

The only thing that puts me off the Transatlantic release is the fact that the set list appears to be exactly the same as the Whirld Tour release from last year. I already have that so, even allowing for variations in the songs, I can't really see the need to buy this new one, which I'm sure won't come cheap either. sad

Just received an e-mail from www.progrock.co.uk regarding pre-orders of upcoming releases by some very wonderful artists.

PRE-ORDERS
Visit www.progrock.co.uk to order!

[CD] MANNING - Margaret's Children - GBP 9.99 (released 07/11/2011)
*PRE-ORDERS FOR THIS CD WILL BE SENT AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE*
Latest CD from Manning, the sequel to the acclaimed "Anser's Tree" (2006).

[CD] ALAN REED - Dancing with Ghosts EP - GBP 4.99 (released 24/10/2011)
Debut solo release from ex Pallas vocalist. Excellent EP! Track Listing: 1. Sanctuary / 2. Who's to Blame? / 3. Kean on the Job / 4. Teardrops in the Rain / 5. Begin Again.

[CD] LUNATIC SOUL - Impressions - GBP 10.99 (released 10/10/2011)
The third album from Lunatic Soul, Impressions follows 2010’s acclaimed ‘II’ (White Album) and features a number of tracks written in the sessions for both that and the self titled (Black Album) debut in 2008. Mariusz felt that the compositions completed the theme set out on I & II and decided to return to the studio earlier this year to record the final instalment in the trilogy. ‘Impressions is a collection of instrumental compositions, which act as an addition to the story told on the black and white Lunatic Soul albums. These songs without lyrics, with scarce vocal parts are more ambient in style, resembling a soundtrack to a film or a video game.‘ Mariusz Duda. Packaged in a digipak.

[CD] KNIGHT AREA - Nine Paths - GBP 10.99 (released 31/10/2011)
Nine Paths is the fourth album from respected Dutch band Knight Area. They have garnered attention around the world performing in North America multiple times as well as tours throughout Europe. Knight Area has performed at NEARfest in the US as well as The Night of the Prog Festival in Germany. Not content to simply stick to a musical formula, KNIGHT AREA will surprise their fan-base with Nine Paths. While remaining firmly faithful to the symphonic rock tradition the band has gone one step further and added a harder edge to their sound. This transformation comes courtesy of noted producer Neil Kernon (Cannibal Corpse, Queensryche, Nile) who's mix has provided a more contemporary approach to progressive rock. The track 'Please come Home' features a guest vocal appearance by Charlotte Wessels (Delain).

[CD] WHITE WILLOW - Terminal Twilight - GBP 10.99 (released 10/10/2011)
First new studio CD from Norwegian Prog band in years!

[CD] HAKEN - Visions - GBP 9.99 (released 24/10/2011)
Their new release, Visions is yet another conceptual work encompassing sci-fi themes. Haken seamlessly meld metal with progressive rock, drawing influences from contemporary bands like Dream Theater as well as old school icons Genesis and Queen. Often bombastic and over the top, Visions features the addition of a string section and audiophile production from Spacelab Studios in Germany.

[CD] TANGENT - COMM (Limited Edition digipak) - GBP 13.99 (released 27/09/2011)
The Tangent have now managed to re-invent themselves so many times that it's hard to count all the people who have been in it. But every line-up has succeeded in delivering top class Progressive Rock music. This is their sixth studio album for Insideout Music, and is the debut studio recording of Luke Machin, a stunning 22 year old guitar player who has taken fans by storm at gigs around Europe in the past 18 months. Despite his youth, Luke is heavily influenced by the great progressive rock guitarists from Francis Dunnery to Andy Latimer, Allan Holdsworth and Daniel Gildenlow. COMM has taken 2 years to write and record. The cover artworks marks a return to the popular partnership between The Tangent and Belarussian artist Ed Unitsky.

[CD] TOUCHSTONE - The City Sleeps - GBP 10.99 (released 10/10/2011)
Brand new rocking CD from Touchstone!

[CD] HACKETT STEVE - Beyond The Shrouded Horizon (released 26/09/2011)
Ltd Edition 2 CD - GBP 16.99
Standard edition: GBP 10.99
Beyond The Shrouded Horizon bears yet further witness to the extraordinary scope of Steve’s creativity: exquisite acoustic vignettes and towering rock and orchestral arrangements traverse continents of subject and style and yet the album remains cohesive to the end, demanding attention for a full fifty-eight minutes. A worthy successor to Out Of The Tunnel’s Mouth, Steve’s latest studio album is underpinned by the regular electric band of King, O’Toole, Beggs, Townsend and Amanda Lehmann, and features stellar guest performances from Chris Squire and Simon Phillips.

[CD] GABRIEL PETER - New Blood (released 10/10/2011)
2 CD - GBP 14.99
Standard edition: GBP 11.99
Brand new CD from Peter Gabriel, performing classic solo tracks with an orchestra.

[CD] RUSH - Rush ABC 1974 - GBP 8.99 (released 24/10/2011) - GBP 8.99
Rush concert from 1974 - the band's first ever radio broadcast! The set played includes songs from their debut album, Rush, and features two early versions of cuts from their sophomore record, Fly by Night. The show also contained a cover of Larry Williams Bad Boy plus two excellent tracks that have never been released on any previous Rush release; the super-rare Fancy Dancer and Garden Road, both composed in their very earliest incarnation before Neal Peart joined. The package is completed by three bonus tracks from their second US broadcast, back at the ABC a year later - All three songs from the 1975 set originated on Fly By Night. This rare recording is now available legitimately for the first time and with deluxe packaging, designed with the collector in mind.

[CD] STEVEN WILSON - Grace For Drowning (released 26/09/2011)
2 CD - Ltd Digibook - GBP 12.99
Blu-ray - GBP 12.99
2 CD - Standard edition - GBP 10.99
Grace for Drowning, the new solo double album from Porcupine Tree frontman Steven Wilson. This is the second album released under Wilson’s own name, and builds on the artistic inroads he forged with 2009’s exceptionally well-received Insurgentes. A double album (‘two 40-45 minute albums in the same package’) Wilson has described the new album as "my biggest project to date". Blu-Ray edition features music in 5.1 surround sound, 5 bonus tracks, 5 films, 6 demo versions, a gallery and a 16 page book of artwork and notes.

[CD] OZRIC TENTACLES - Paper Monkeys - GBP 10.99 (released 19/09/2011)
Paper Monkeys is the new studio album from UK underground legends, Ozric Tentacles. It is the band's follow-up to 2009's The Yum Yum Tree. That album proved that despite being over 25 years into their career the band were still a force to be reckoned with, Classic Rock Prog stating: 'there are enough moments of brilliance here to make this the best thing the band have committed to tape since Jurassic Shift in 1993'.

[CD] AIRBAG - All Rights Removed - GBP 9.99 (released 17/10/2011)
The 2nd album from Norwegian atmospheric progressive rock band.

[CD] MOSTLY AUTUMN - Live At High Voltage 2011 (2 CD) - GBP 11.99 (released 10/10/2011)
From the Prog stage at the High Voltage festival 2011

[CD] BJH - Live At High Voltage 2011 (3 CD) - GBP 13.99 (released 10/10/2011)
Exclusive instant live recordings of John Lees’ Barclay James Harvest’s sensational performance headlining on the Prog stage at the High Voltage festival 2011 which was attended by over 15,000 people.

[CD] ANATHEMA - Falling Deeper - GBP 10.99 (released 12/09/2011)
Falling Deeper’ is the new, fully orchestral album from Anathema. Falling Deeper continues where the acclaimed 2008 album Hindsight left off. The album features brand new arrangements
