Somewhat oddly, the group distinguishes itself as "undoubtedly the most musically adventurous rock band in the world to feature an American Idol Top 10 Female Finalist".

This is from their debut 2010 album, Hybrid Child:

Not half bad, eh?

Saw them perform at CalProg a couple years ago. Great band, nice people. Met them all after the gig. They did an amazing version of UK's Presto Vivace and Genesis' Back in NYC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl7GBI0mgVE

District 97 have certainly been good at establishing some prog credentials.

I like this one:

The girls dancing in the foreground add a little something. Remembrance, perhaps grin

So here's a new Marillion track, off their new album. It's called Power:

Such ailing track from Marillion can be called 'weakness' (for example) but not 'power'. wink

Spock's Beard's "Snow" is now a rock opera!

http://www.encorebuzz.com/entertainment/966764-249/snow-debuts-rock-opera-new-theater-company.html?CSAuthResp=1234%3A%3A5000%3A257%3A24%3Aapproved%3A748801ABF57441070238AEAD407A5FAA

Too bad they misspelled Neal Morse's name throughout the column. Wonderful album by a great band. I would love to go see this, but won't be making it to New Hampshire sad
