Can't make out if this is a deliberate joke to sound awful or not.

Opeth, a tribute to Camel!

Opeth is a Swedish progressive metal band formed in 1990. The vocalist Maikel Akerfeldt is a HUGE Camel and Andy Latimer fan.

Ok need a little help here. I have been clearing out one of my hard drives and came across a folder I put some songs into 4 years ago. One of the songs is called 'Never let Go' and before you all come rushing to say it is the classic song from the very first album, this is a completely different song and by CAMEL. It is beautiful but I cannot recall where I got it from. It is not on any album and wondered if anyone can shed some light on the song and its origins. It is fairly modern in the style of Dust and Dreams/Harbour of Tears era with lovely choral synths backing Andy's plaintive vocals.

I don't recall hearing any D&D / Harbour of Tears era unreleased material. Can you upload part of the song?

Is it from the live album by the same name?

Right! Never Let Go starts different on that album - slow, and with different chords.

No, sorry guys but it is not the same song in any way shape or form but the title is the same. It is definitely Camel as you cannot miss Latimer's vocals or the wonderful guitar sound. Lovely lyrics too, heartfelt and all shrouded with the wonderful melodies that only Andy Latimer seems to be able to come up with.
