I thought it was a bargain when I bought it for about 4.99, but 2.99 is unbelievable value for over two and a half hours worth. cool Of course if you own most of the studio albums, it's not worth buying. But as a starting point for Camel it's fantastic. smiley

Not too sure about that... wink...at that price I just could not resist...great to play in the car or just stick on in the kitchen...I often buy a Sunday newspaper to get a 'free' CD and some of them don't cost much less than that....

Oh, and three of the tracks are live versions which may or may not be available elsewhere. The live version of Lady Fantasy is stupendously good, especially the ending. cool

Does anyone know of any movies which had Camel tunes in their soundtrack?

Don't think there's been any discussion about the January 2011 issue of 'Classic Rock Prog' magazine which contained a Camel feature. Anyone see it?

Hi there

Yes, I saw the feature and very informative it was too. About time the band featured in that magazine and at least the feature was sympathetic which is a change. I have heard that Mr Latimer is at work on an album by another prog muso at the moment and that should be VERY interesting if the stuff I have heard from it is anything to go by! No names, no packdrill! wink

Obviously, I don't know who Alan means, but, I think it would be very interesting if Andy Latimer were to work at some stage with Steve Hackett. Their styles, both musically and vocally, are quite similar at times. That would be an interesting collaboration indeed! smiley

Andy and Steve would be great indeed!
However, my guess this time is Ant Phillips, since they have collaborated in the past, and had some material they didn't have a chance to finish.
By the way, does anyone know if there's anywhere I can listen to their collaboration for the golf tour? (since it was on TV for a few years I would think it be available somewhere on YouTube).

Andy has / is contributing to a Dave Sinclair album. It's no secret. Read about it earlier this year.

Don't fancy it myself. Rather hear them separately.

I have to agree with Squigs. It's probably because they ARE so similar that it probably wouldn't work. A much better idea would be for either of them to team up with an exponent of a different instrument, such as piano/keys or maybe even brass.

I feel it is a real shame about Andy's health issues preventing him from doing that Roger Waters thing a while back. That would've been so promising.
