I would think it will be a little while as the DVD donations are to help with production costs. Maybe find out when they're more sure hopefully.

Hi Pete...I would have liked to have seen the Headwaiter tour!
I Think I read somewhere that "Another Night" and "Lady Fantasy" were featured in their set!!
Peter
Headwaiter did quite a few pub gigs around London in '78. I always intended to see them, but never got round to it because I was gigging heavily myself that year.

Very similar to the recent Caravan compilation. Housed in a hard backed book cover style, it has a lot of new and unseen photos and a nice essay/sleeve notes written by Mark Powell whose team were behind the art work and the remastering.

The album only takes the material up to 1985 (Decca years) which is such a shame as it would have been nice to have heard material not yet remastered appear since that date. Most of the material has already been remastered so I cannot tell any difference between the quality of the tracks and the studio remasters. It does feature some nice additional tracks but not sure at this time if there is anything that has never been released before. Below is the track listing:

Disc 1

01. Slow Yourself Down
02. Never Let Go [album version]
03. Curiosity
04. Mystic Queen
05. Nimrodel - Procession - White Rider
06. Freefall
07. Earthrise
08. Lady Fantasy Medley [original mix]
09. Ligging At Louis [BBC Radio One "In Concert"]
10. Arubaluba [BBC Radio One "In Concert"]
11. Supertwister [live at the Marquee Club]

Disc 2

01. Homage To The God Of Light [live]
02. Great Marsh
03. Rhayader
04. Rhayader Goes To Town
05. Preparation [live at the Royal Albert Hall]
06. Dunkirk [live at the Royal Albert Hall]
07. Aristillus
08. Song Within A Song
09. Air Born
10. Spirit Of The Water
11. Chord Change [live at the Hammersmith Odeon)
12. Another Night (live at the Hammersmith Odeon)
13. First Light
14. Elke

Disc 3

01. Tell Me
02. Metrognome [live at the Colston Hall]
03. Unevensong
04. Lunar Sea ([live at the Colston Hall]

06. Echoes
07. Starlight Ride
08. Breathless
09. Rainbow's End [single version]
10. Survival
11. Hymn To Her
12. Ice
13. City Life

08. Heart's Desire
09. End Peace
10. In The Arms Of The Waltzing Frauleins
11. Cloak & Dagger Man

My feeling is (and I hope I'm wrong) is that it will be around the end of November/beginning of December in time for the Christmas market. Eggle, the last chance for names in liner was in the newletter, now on website, September 26th. Only 2 days.

Thanks for ' Rainbow's End ' info, Ned.

In the past " previously unreleased tracks " has been stated, so could be there aren't any? Or whoever released it doesn't know!

Yes Thanks Ned for the info....

I've had a listen to the album on Spotify....there seem to be 2 tracks "Arubaluba" and "Ligging at Louis" (BBC In Concert versions), which have not appeared on any previously released Decca or Universal re-issues. These tracks have long been available on bootlegs, but on this CD, they sound great and seem to have been cleaned up a bit.
I wonder what happened to the other tracks on the original BBC sessions??

Pete, Arubaluba is on the CP "Gods Of Light" release and you will find the other 1974/1975 In Concert recordings there too. BBC "Ligging" is the first release, it was not on "Gods Of Light" because that was based on the BBC transcription LP from which it was also absent. Similarly about 5 mins of the Snow Goose performance did not make it onto the CP release, but were included on the recent Snow Goose delux remaster. Apart from "Ligging" the only other unreleased track is BBC "Summer Lightning" which is missing from CP "On The Road 1981".

Thanks AliveCamel..I think I'm getting old! Hadn't made the connection with the Gods Of Light Version...!!!
I'm getting confused because there were 2 BBC session versions of Arubaluba broadcast.

The first session was "Never Let Go"/"Arubaluba"/"Curiosity" and "Six Ate"and these tracks were on the John Peel show.

The second session included "White Rider" & "Lady Fantasy" and I think it's this second session that appear on the Gods of Light CD

Cheers for the clarification

Yes Pete, that second you mention was the first of two In Concert appearances live from the Golders Green Hippodrome.

Apart from the live stuff, they did two BBC studio sessions, one for John Peel (as you mentioned) and the other for Bob Harris. Neither has been released and all I have of those two is a couple of songs from John Peel (Arubaluba, curiosity). ANYBODY HAVE THESE SESSIONShuh?

cheers

Reasonable Camel content in the "Prog" magazine ...a half page advert for the new anthology...a glowing review of the same, and a 4 page Camel feature from the recent Andy Latimer interview with Dave Ling..anybody else seen it yet?
