Arguably Country rather than Popular, but we don't have a C&W board!

RIP to an innovative and hugely successful, yet still down to earth guy. His final album, recently released, was actually recorded back in around 2012 when he knew Alzheimer's was coming on, and released, presumably at his request while still able to suggest it, as he was nearing the end, he effectively did a Freddie Mercury and a David Bowie with it.

Often opted for Jimmy Web songs, a wise move. RIP Glen.

My family went to hear Glen Campbell perform at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel in 1970. I was 12 years old. Great memory. I remember tickets were $20, and how upset my Dad was at the price grin

I listened for years to my Dad's vinyl records of Glen Campbell. I now have them all digitally. His death didn't come as much of a shock to me, as I knew he had advanced Alzheimer's. What struck me though was that up until a couple of years ago he was able to hit the stage and perform flawlessly, on vocals and guitar, even with his Alzheimer's. He is a legend. God bless him.

RIP Glen cry

He was a wonderful singer & guitarist. Most people cite Wichita Lineman as his masterpiece but I can state that I believe Galveston changed my lfe. It made me subconsciously obsessed with travelling.

I really liked Glen - R.I.P

One track I really liked was 'Too Many Mornings' which seems poignant now....
