It'll be interesting to see what his pricing is here in the US if he comes here. I believe he generally has a bit of a stronger fanbase across europe than he does here at this point in time. Hopefully it won't be too costly for me to manage if he comes!

Then again, if he does come to the US, I doubt he'll go to more than 4 or 5 cities-and if so, definitely not Denver, where I am undecided

I am not paying up to 136 to watch a large screen at the Hydro. Sorry Phil, scandalous prices plus booking fees and I personally would not pay that at the time Phil was at his peak. He is no longer the force he was yet venues etc are charging ridiculous prices. Good luck to anyone who can and is willing to pay the ticket prices. The only was to get these highway robbers to stop fleecing fans is to vote with your feet and wallet/purse. If people keep paying these costs then Tickets will continue to rise to a point where only the well paid can afford to go.

Yes - I agree too. The 65 tickets are reasonable enough for our Phil - but WHO is paying these kind of prices of well over 100?!!

I have great respect for Phil - but am not as keen on his solo work, so wouldn't be paying that much to see just him alone.
These kind of prices (for ANY artist) do nothing to encourage the average person into the gig. Whatever happened to the days when you could decide to go along to see a band or show on the night or day before with just 20 in your pocket?!
If Genesis themselves played I would certainly pay a decent enough price for them, but think anything over 100 these days is still a bit of a stretch for their average fan!
Like Ned says - if people voted with their feet - prices would go down, but I can't see it happening anytime soon. embarassed

Having already got my tickets in the cheap seats, out of interest I went on Ticketmaster yesterday (despise that company!) to see what the 'best available' would be. Managed to get 2 front row seats for a measly 760!

It's disheartening to see prices like that. I'd like to have believed that Phil was doing these shows purely for the thrill of performing live and because he 'missed us', which still may be true, but it's not the most extravagant show ever to justify the cost, so you've got to go with the assumption that he's cashing in on the situation which is a bit sad.

I would think that's ticketmaster not phil collins pricing them up as "platinum" tickets....

so out of interest I just went on the sheffield arenas website and tickets are still available for 65 - pretty sure that's what i paid for genesis 10 years ago.
