Yea I've seen that, there's been a couple of papers trying to group music tastes in 3, 4, 5 or 6 types. The idea behind it is not bad but this one you linked is so obviously based on US-American test subjects it just doesn't work for anybody else in the world. Country music as one of the five big types of music makes just zero sense outside of the USA and Canada. They really should include people from all over the world to build their theory on. I hope for deeper researches in the future, I do like the basic idea of this.

True. Besides that, I was left wondering where equally intense and sophisticated music like prog would be categorized.
