It seems that he is somewhat popular in New Jersey.

Should make finding tix pretty easy. I'm sure I'll catch one of em,probably the 3rd one.

I caved this am and grabbed a Philly ga for Sept 7th. I don't mind the $150 face so much but the bs $47 in fees is outrageous. There's a facility fee, order fee, and a $28 ticket fee. What in the hell is that? Isn't the $150 the ticket fee?

Based on projected amount of tix to be sold, someone is making a cool $1Mil + on that ticket fee.

Man I sure hope for you guys going to upcoming shows the last couple of setlists were just a fluke. I get the Lisbon /Rock In Rio being more of a festival setlist but the to follow it up in Madrid with something similar, and heavy on BITUSA while dropping the River tunes down to 6 or 7 is just a big bummer for me.

Especially since it's the same old River tunes that are always in rotation and none of the rarities were played. It's one thing to drop the River album in its entirety but to bill it as "The River Tour" and cut so much of it is at best disappointing and at worst a bait and switch. I know if I had bought tix ( that aren't cheap) expecting a heavy dose of the River, if not all of it like in the US, and some River out takes and then get a "greatest hits" show light on River tunes, I'd be pretty pissed off.

Here's hoping Bruce remembers how big the River was for him in Europe. How that tour forged his rep there and gets back to playing what the tour is billed as for everyone expecting to see what they paid for.... The River Tour!

Not sure I agree tbh, looking forward to the set being mostly "River" but there's some filler on that album (as there is with most doubles).

That's fine if you disagree but the US tour was billed as The River Tour in support of the box set release. Bruce himself said the whole album front to back including out takes from that time. He followed through on that here, even though the only "new" out take was Meet Me In The City.

When the tour was announced and tix sale dates for Europe it was also billed as The River Tour. Hell, all the merch is promoting The River including show specific posters! It's more than fair for people who bought those tix to expect to see a good amount of River tunes. I get not doing the whole album for stadiums there as it plays better in a more intimate setting,IMO, but to go from 12-13 River tunes to start the Euro leg and now down to 6-7 is just bad form.

I don't necessarily agree there's filler on that album unless you're talking Hungry Heart and Crush On You. Side two of that album is classic, and some of the best stuff he's ever written. For Europe to get HH, Out In The Streets, Sherry Darling, Ties That Bind along with the title track is just overkill to me. You've gotten those on every tour. The only possible rarity played now is Point Blank. You guys should be getting tracks like Price You Pay, Independence Day, Drive All Night, Fade Away, Stolen Car and Wreck On The Highway rotated in,IMO.

I just feel he's done an injustice to those who bought tix way back when he was doing the whole album here and expecting if not the whole thing, at least a good portion of it. If he goes back to the 10-13 range, I think that's a good compromise, but I know a lot of people aren't happy about plunking down good money and bummed they might not get what they thought they were buying. Sure the shows will still be great, but that's not the point. For BITUSA to have more tunes played than the River on a River Tour is nuts and a bit of a head scratcher for me.

Its early and possibly an over reaction on my part to the last two shows. Like I said, I get the Rock In Rio Fest getting the setlist it did. That's typical of a fest set, and maybe he just carried that over to Madrid, and will get back to what this tour is supposed to be in Manchester and beyond. After all, The River album and original tour is what really started his European popularity back in 80 and I know there's a lot of fans from that era who were really looking forward to seeing most if not all of it this time around.

I appreciate your point but I bet there's not many tickets handed back once people realise there are less River songs than they may have expected. Looking forward to it in any event, always enjoy The Boss.

I agree there won't be many handed back because I doubt they'd be granted a refund. That wasn't my point anyway, and I'm not really sure you got my point.

Let me try it this way. If the tour was billed as a Greatest Hits tour heavy BITUSA, and you bought tix expecting to get that but instead got the whole River album start to finish with about 12-13 other tunes after, would you be bummed you didn't get 33-35 "BITUSA/Greatest Hits"? Or at least feel you bought your tix under a different expectation of the show?
