Holy hell, what a night! I walked into the pit about 30 minutes before showtime, found a nice spot about 3/4 way back dead center, saw the chairs setup for the strings, knew it was gonna be New York City Serenade to start and I was a very happy man! What I didn't know was it would be two hours of classic Bruce until he ventured past 1974!!!

This man NEVER ceases to amaze me and even after all these years finds a way to keep blowing me away at shows. From song selection, to the energy he poured into the show, to the flow of the show, it was just an all around fantastic performance. Not to mention how incredibly tight he and the band are, and each song was pure perfection!

Top it off with the longest US show in his career, and possibly (depending on who's watch you go by) his longest show ever! Holy cow, I'm still having a tough time believing what I was witness to and a participant to last night. One for the ages for me, and after almost 40 years of Bruce shows, right there at the very top in the discussion for best show I've ever seen.

Well done Bossman!

I heard that recently and fantastic news for all of you! I have no idea what you can expect from him at this point though. I never would've dreamed we'd get these older tunes or 4 hour shows!

I'd be surprised if he went back to doing the whole River album at shows, and the way these last shows in the US are going over so well, I'd kind of lean towards you guys getting similar setlists to these. He and the band are having a blast up there, and he seems to love going back to his early days for the first part of the shows. Hopefully you get the same thing because it's a real and rare treat! cool

As I said to Henry, just go, you won't regret it! ( Well maybe your body will the next day, but it's SO worth it) grin

I haven't checked out the torrent sites but do they list show times, and did you happen to see what was listed for this show?

That's a great setlist. I've never seen him. If he is coming here I suppose I might consider it, as I am so starved for shows at the moment.

Thanks Yild. cool

A friend of mine was telling me there's some fans out there debating whether it was actually his longest show ever. Something about a Helsinki show possibly being several seconds longer! shocked

I guess stuff like that really matters to some but I'm just thrilled to have been there for one of his legendary 4 hour gigs. smiley

Nice! cool

His shows are always fantastic but if you guys get ones anything like this last leg in the States, you're in for a real treat. I'm still on a show high from last week, and wish there were some more shows coming up here.

Definitely do it. At worst it'll be a bucket list thing for you. If you're a fan, I'm sure it'll be a lot more than that. Fair warning though, his shows can turn into an addiction, and with a few more down there after Feb. 7th, your hubby might not see you for a bit. grin
