So far just Philly1. Probably gonna do Philly 2 as well and if things go real well I'll get to Chicago. Not counting on that one but really want to see an arena show.

August might be tough though as I'm heading to Florida for a week or so. Gonna catch MMJ backing Ray LaMontagne at the Amp, and really trying to hit the NC show with Gina on the way down. If I do both of those it'll most likely put the kabosh on Chicago.

I'm really hoping to hear an announcement for some fall arena dates similar to 09. I'll probably hold off on Philly 2 until the last minute and if no fall shows by then, I'll hit Philly 2.

Ah, O.K.

I was aware that you were seeing him in Philly, but I wasn't sure if you had any others in mind, like one of the NJ gigs.

Most likely not, Henry. I'm not a fan of stadium shows but definitely gotta get my Bruce fix and see at least one show this year. I'd take a Philly show over a NJ one every time so that's why I chose that one.

I really haven't been too thrilled with the Europe stadium setlists, so if the NJ shows are similar, I'm definitely just going to do Philly 1. If he opens up his catalog more, and the setlists are more to my liking, I'll probably do Philly 2 as well.

I've seen too many of the songs being played now too many times over the years to justify spending the cash he's asking to see them in a stadium more than once.

I bet Eric is happy that he decided not to go to the NJ show the other night. grin

Son of a .....! Nah, just kidding. It did sound like a great night for all those there, and I would've loved to be able to say I was at the longest show Bruce has ever done in the US but aside from NYCS to open, and Jersey Girl, I wasn't too bummed about missing the show.

I know I sound like a setlist snob but I'm not really a fan of stadium shows, so other than the few things I mentioned, I'm not too bummed I didn't go. Had this been an arena show, I'd be kicking myself for sure.

Here's hoping the rest of the NJ shows are as good and Philly the week after next is even better! wink

You're lying if you say that you're not kicking yourself for not going to last night's show. grin

Definitely bummed to have missed it. That was my kind of show for sure. cool Funny thing is, if these were arena shows I would've done all three. I'm just not really into stadium shows anymore and doing Philly is more than enough of that for me.

Here's hoping he has something similar in store for Philly. wink

I understand what you're saying. For the most part I have very little motivation to go to any stadium shows as well. I would have seriously considered a NJ or Philly Springsteen show if it was in an arena.

Another great looking setlist last night in DC. Similar to MetLife3. I'd sign up for that one right now for Philly1. grin

Fingers crossed.

Holy hell, what a night! I walked into the pit about 30 minutes before showtime, found a nice spot about 3/4 way back dead center, saw the chairs setup for the strings, knew it was gonna be New York City Serenade to start and I was a very happy man! What I didn't know was it would be two hours of classic Bruce until he ventured past 1974!!!

This man NEVER ceases to amaze me and even after all these years finds a way to keep blowing me away at shows. From song selection, to the energy he poured into the show, to the flow of the show, it was just an all around fantastic performance. Not to mention how incredibly tight he and the band are, and each song was pure perfection!

Top it off with the longest US show in his career, and possibly (depending on who's watch you go by) his longest show ever! Holy cow, I'm still having a tough time believing what I was witness to and a participant to last night. One for the ages for me, and after almost 40 years of Bruce shows, right there at the very top in the discussion for best show I've ever seen.

Well done Bossman!

I know it won't be easy and probably a long shot but trust me, I wouldn't steer you wrong......if there's any way you can get to Philly tomorrow night, Pittsburgh during the week or Foxboro for the tour finale, DO IT! You won't regret it. cool
