An amazing three night run in Chicago with some great friends, and I got lucky upgrading my tix to have elbows on the stage all 3 nights! All the shows were top notch, and 2:15-2:30 long with not a single repeat over the run.

Even the new songs were fantastic live, and I can't wait for Camden next month!

They were at Bonnaroo yesterday, and no shot I'd go to that but it was streamed, already recorded, and posted to YouTube. A damn fine 2hr fest set,IMO.

Here it is if anyone wants to check it out:

Yeah, I think so too. There's a couple of tunes I'm on the fence about but most of it is excellent. In it's Infancy, and Spring are up there for me but my favorite is Tropics. One thing I will say is they were all really, really good live. They've been favoring Believe, and Spring as openers so far this tour, and they both work well in that spot.

Over the course of the three Chicago shows they didn't repeat any songs, and did pretty much the whole new album. I definitely liked even the ones I'm on the fence about live. These guys are really hitting on all cylinders, and just keep getting better and better.

Here ya go Henry. They're doing their first ever pay per stream live broadcast of a show this Friday night from Red Rocks. The show I saw there a few years ago was a classic, and the following year they followed it up with two super long, great shows. I'm sure this show will be right up there with those, and maybe even top it.

$20 gets the stream, and Mp3 download.

Thanks Eric.

However, I'm not much of a streaming guy. Not really properly set up for it either. Would be nice to see, but I'd rather be there in person. tongue

BTW, didn't they live stream a set a few years ago...for free?

Yeah, I'd much rather be there in person but this will help with the show withdrawals I'm suffering through now that my summer run of shows is over. wink

They did have a live broadcast on AXS TV from RR in 12 but that was an actual TV channel thing than a live stream. These streams seem to be pretty popular now, The Dead with their Fare Thee Well shows, The Allmans and their Beacon ones, Phish offers it often too.

I think it's a trend that we'll be seeing more,and more of.

Hey Henry, not sure if you caught any of this but Jacket played a Newport Folk Fest set the night before Camden, then stayed onstage to be the backing band for Roger Waters. cool

There's no full performance recording but you can check out each tune separately here if you want. Some pretty cool stuff.

I just got this beauty back from the framer. I have a bunch of Jacket posters, and this one is already one of my faves. It's from the St. Augustine Fl show earlier this month.

The artist did a great job incorporating a lot of what that town is all about. It's the oldest town in the US, and discovered by the Spanish. It's where the Fountain of Youth is located on Ponce DeLeon Blvd. So the Spanish princess fits well. The Gator being a Florida treasure, the mascot of the State Uni, and St A has a big Gator farm/ museum tourist attraction. On top of the Gator's mouth is the "skyline" of downtown, and is spot on. All the old Spanish style buildings, and Flagler College are beautiful in person, and glad he put them in the poster. Funny thing is you have to go over a famous bridge to get there and the Gator's mouth gives the view of going over that bridge. cool Throw in the Florida night sky which is exactly what you see looking towards the ocean from the venue, and this artist couldn't have done a better job,IMO. Matt Leunig is his name.

All that's missing is a reference to the meth heads...😄

Haha Henry. Actually it's more a drinking town with a fishing problem!

wink grin

I'm sure there's some meth in the sketchy areas of that town just like anywhere else but I've never noticed a problem there or heard of it having that type of rep. Lots of places to drink, that's for damn sure!!

All in all though it's a pretty nice town. Touristy downtown, and a nice beach area on the Oceanside of town. Great eats too! cool

Ps, still working on getting that Camden one a frame but it's a big one, and ain't gonna be cheap. Plus I don't think I can find a place to hang it right now. Lol.

Cool. cool That's a new one off their latest release - The Waterfall. There's some good stuff on there,IMO, and as always the tunes are even better live.

They just announced a Philly Tower Theater show for Nov. 19th. There's a Live Nation Presale going on now, and the general sale is tomorrow @ 10:00 am.

It's all ga, with the front half of the floor a standing pit, the back half and balcony are GA seat seated/first come first served. $55 inc fees.
