That must've been some gig - an evening of Genesis and Pink Floyd music.

There is another one I've seen called The Floyd Effect who are very good. I don't think I've seen In The Flesh before. I've also seen Perfect Alibi, The Australian Pink Floyd, Off The Wall and Echoes and thoroughly enjoyed them all. |

In The Flesh were superb last night. On the downside, they played nothing from Animals, A Momentary Lapse Of Reason nor The Division Bell. But they played a number of tracks that I have never before heard live, such as Astronomy Domine, Fat Old Sun, Not Now John and Echoes. The musicians were all top notch and the lead singer, whilst also being the keyboard player, sounded uncannily like David Gilmour at times. And to top it all, one of the backing singers was Miss Torbay 2010 - it's true, says it on their website.

This Friday I'm going to see The Machine in Philadelphia. Saw them a couple of years ago and they were outstanding. They played all of DSOTM and The Wall, as well as "Echoes" and "Wish You Were Here" as a tribute to the recently-departed Wright.
I'm hoping they'll do a little "Shine On" and one or more Animals tracks.

That sounds like a very long (and awesome) set. Enjoy the show on Friday and here's hoping you get some SOYCD.
