Still no news regarding Transatlantic's album. Not an email or anything. I reckon it will be December now. If I'm lucky.

Thanks for that Colin. I got an email myself yesterday telling me my order had been despatched. Hopefully it comes next week now.

Me too! Finally, it's arrived. Ironically, my cd player packed in last Thursday. It's been taken in to Richer sounds for repair. Looks like it might 'only' be the lens out of alignment. If so, it should be ready within the week. I'm expecting a phone call. I do have my personal cd player however, so Transatlantic may get a hearing tomorrow.

As a footnote to my previous post, I did get to play The Whirlwind, but just the once yesterday. First impressions? Typical Transatlantic really; very good indeed, though I didn't hear anything to equal my favourite Transatlantic track, 'All Of the Above'. Of course, I can't say much really after just one listen, though I did like the way Pete's bass was high in the mix in parts, and very Squire-like at times. Excellent stuff really, and it was nice to hear Roine singing more and putting in some really nice guitar work. Haven't had a chance to listen to disc 2 yet. Think I need to get used to disc 1 a bit more first!

Well, at last, I've now got broadband! I was forced into it as my dial-up service is being discontinued in December anyway. I connected it up yesterday and found it surprisingly easy to do. Of course, the difference is obvious from the start and I'm now going to go through some pages of this thread and watch some Flower Kings videos at last! Better late than never.

Welcome to the 21st Century Chessman - no more council dial up for you. Now get rid of that black and white 14 inch 1950s TV and get a new one

Have you been spying on me Ned? How did you know I had such a TV? Must admit, I am thinking of upgrading to a colour one at some point in the future. Now, about our gas lights....
