It's always great to see those five guys together. Why were they together? To help promote the book?

Yes, as far as I know.

Genesisnewscom posted a photo Richard took of Peter with the book. I can't seem to post it.

Man. angry I just tried to order Richard's book. Richard's homepage has an "order now" form but it will only accept payment by credit card. I tried the big shopping site that starts with "a" and ends with "n", the German site offers only a kindle edition; the UK site offers a paperback edition but restricted to UK only. No matter how I do it there's no way for me to get a paperback copy into Germany. undecided And no, I can't get a credit card, my bank is not going to give me one unless I make a lot more money. Not that I would ever need it anyways. tongue

You could try ordering direct from the publishers Wymer, I got mine from them. They will ship outside the UK and they accept debit cards and PayPal as well as credit cards. If you can't pay by those methods you can get in touch with them to discuss alternative methods of payment.

Yes, it worked! smiley Not too cheap but whatever, it will be worth it. The book is 14.99 at Wymers', add that VAT tax with 1.50 and shipping to Germany with 7.50 and it makes a total of 23.99, which equals 28,15 currently. Then again, not too much if this is the only way to get hold of it, plus I will finally have a Genesis autobiography in the original English text instead of a crappy German translation. I was really thinking about purchasing Mike's and Phil's books in English too because the translations suck to be precise.

It arrived! I just read chapter 1-3 in one go (Rich's mum just burned his bell-bottom jeans). Really entertaining, I can't wait to finish the book! smiley

Is there anything enlightening about the chapter on The Cottage where they wrote and rehearsed the album Trespass?

Well, technically nothing we don't know already but his description of the circumstances is very detailed. How off from the street and protected from sight the house was so they really had their little world of their own, all the various tasks he fulfilled... Also he points out how John Mayhew's skills were obviously behind the others, and he says the final production of Trespass didn't do justice to what the band really sounded like at the time, unlike the following albums.

A big plus throughout the book is he lets all the band members speak for themselves, he interviewed everybody before the book and quotes them. Certain passages will read like: As Tony remembers: "..." Phil's take on this is: "..." while Mike points out: "..." etc.
