Most talented member of Genesis

Inspired by the "Genesis miss Steve more than Peter" thread, I thought we, the people most interested in the band, would be best placed to decide this major query.
Criteria? You decide. Is Tony's keyboard skill more important than Phil's compositional ear for a pop hit. Does Peter have more important things to say in his lyrics than Mike? You know what you respect each member for, just pick the one who "does it" for you.

Generally, when I talk of someone being a very talented musician, it's almost always in reference to someone who stands out from among his peers and is very good at more than one thing.
From that perspective, I'd have to say Phil reaches the highest peaks.
He was a highly lauded drummer - recognized beyond Genesis' circle of fans - who, on top of that, had a distinctive and likeable singing voice.

If I consider each individual separately, apart from anyone else in the group... I vote for Peter.

This is actually a bit hard.. I choose Tony - mostly because he is the only member of Genesis that you can't take away. Without him Genesis isn't Genesis.
Peter is close.. and Steve as well..

Inside of Genesis, it's Tony.
Outside of Genesis, it's probably Peter or Phil. Both are tied in my book.

Saying which member is most talented is not the same as which one's contributions are most important to the band.
