Inspired by the worst song ever and what what makes a song bad threads.
Why did I buy that?
We've all got at least one album tucked away in the vinyl/cd/download collection somewhere that just has no right or reason to be there. What's Yours?
Here's two to start with.

Eternal - Greatest Hits.
Mark Morrison - Return of The Mack.

Judas Priest - Stained Class

A remnant of my impressionable early teens, a friend who knew I liked Sabbath, spoke highly of JP and suggested I give them a try.
I knew within seconds of putting it on, this was an absolute non-starter. Vocalist, I thought, was just horrid.
I might have played it three times, if that. It's now in a box, away from my other music, and hasn't been listened to in about 35 years.

Bruce Springsteen – Greetings from Asbury Park

After really liking The River & then working backwards through his previous albums, the debut was a big disappointment sad

Mine was OMD - Architecture and Morality. 3 great singles. which I now have on a best of compilation. The album was donated to my old hospital radio station!

REO Speedwagon - Hi Infidelity

I quite liked the singles they had out at the time (which I have since gone off!) but this album was the most disappointing pile of **** I'd ever heard!

This is going to be a long list as I a) started buying CDs in large amounts at the age of 15 b) never gave any CD away c) am a 90s kid! cheesy

To give you a start:

DJ Bobo - World in Motion

Indeed one of my first CDs, I remember how I bought it back in 1996 together with the Pet Shop Boys' Disco and Genesis' Duke.

More to come, at least I never ever bought CDs by the Kelly Family, the Spice Girls or Take That! grin

I purchased 5 Blues Traveler CDs at once based on one song I heard on the radio. Big mistake. They were a one-hit wonder.

All of these are absolutely horrible IMO -
Kate Bush - Aerial
Robert Plant - Mighty Rearranger
Rush - Roll The Bones
Chester Thompson - A Joyful Noise

I agree with Kate Bush's Aerial album.

For me David Gilmour's ... On An Island

More coming soon!............grin

I have some alternative and metal stuff left from when I was 17/18:

Guano Apes - Proud Like A God
Fear Factory - Demanufacture
Metallica - S&M
Die Ärzte - 13
Die Ärzte - Ein Schwein namens Männer

There's handwritten notes left over that document I was even planning to get CDs by H-Blockx, Rammstein, Die Toten Hosen, Korn, Such A Surge... Thank God I didn't go that far tongue

I still like Skunk Anansie's album "Postorgasmic Chill" and the Smashing Pumpkins' single "Stand Inside Your Love" though.

Now I'm curious: Robert Miles? Miles David? David Myles?
Who is this artist?

The first disc of Aerial is poor, bar a couple of tracks, but disc 2 is good. The Dreaming, however, IS awful.
