Hi there



I think that is the one reason why I have not developed an affinity for the so-called "new prog". Excellent musicianship there without a doubt but the music itself lacks a certain spark for me in most of the (admittedly few) cases where I have heard an album. Perhaps I am just hearing too many echoes (pun intended) of my favourite bands in their work.

TAAB for me. Pure genius cool

But so many others that I prefer: several by IQ (and Genesis), and Ayreon/Arjen Lucassen is the king of the concept album for me - most of his albums would rank above most of these.

Never got CTTE. In fact, that's how I feel about most of Yes' stuff. Their best albums (for me) are Drama, ABWH and Trevor Rabin's I Can't Look Away...
