I agree, I absoultely love this album. I expecially love the Smallcreep Suite, which is up there with the Duke Suite in my book.

I googled the album details and misread them
SORRY embarassed I thought I had made a mistake
I thought the keyboards were good and I liked Ant Phillips on 1984smiley
There are no details of instruments on my cd copy of SD

Simply one of the best prog albums EVER.

See my thread on the main forum.

Noel McCalla plugged into my Ipod and sung some of the album to me shocked.......then told me that Mike R owed him loads of royalties ££ haha

Yes indeed, the Smallcreep Suite is my favourite piece on the album. And 'Working In Line' is my fave track of all. Mike's guitar is wonderful on that. Superb stuff! smiley

This is a great album indeed. I feel the epic is stronger than the other songs, save Moonshine, but the epic IS fantastic.

Now THAT is an amazing song..... shocked

Along with Spectral Mornings and ACF this is my fav Genesis solo CD. Mike shows that he is no slouch in the guitar dept on this CD which makes the lack of anything since a mystery to me. Just listen to the blinding solo in Working In Line. Sorry Steph but this ranks alongside Mr Hacketts finest efforts in my view.

Best wishes.

A fantastic album. If we're not including Gabriel albums, Smallcreep's Day is definitely my favorite solo album by any other G-man. The title suite is excellent all the way through, and I'm also quite keen on Every Road, one of Mike's quieter songs. It reminds me of Like It Or Not but without the anger. smiley

The guitarwork is great, keyboards excellent, vocals and everything else just so good...when this album first came out, I didn't know what to expect. What a wonderful surprise it was! smiley

I really like the side with the Smallcreep day suite on it, which is side 1 on the European edition and side 2 on the American edition (which I have).

I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!
I may stir up some controversy now, but i thought "Smallcreeps Day" was a better "Genesis" album than the same year released "Duke"

"At The End Of The Day" still moves me to tears 27 years on!
