Some time ago I saw the Live at the Hammersmith Odeon CD, from 1979, in a record store, but I wasn't crazy about having it. All the songs are from her first two albums (except for Violin), and they don't differ much from the album versions. It would be different if it had been the DVD, in that case I would probably have bought it.

Tickets on sale Fri 28th March, I would expect they will go in a matter of hours or less. So excited by this!

Hi there

I was lucky enough to see her back in '79 but I'll be holding out for one of these gigs - why all London though? Don't promoters realise that there is more to the UK than that?

Perhaps 30 years ago I would have sold my soul to the devil to see her but personally Kate's last decent material was 85 with Hounds of Love. I would rather appreciate and remember her at her peak than someone who clearly will not be able to perform as she did in 79. I may be wrong but I do hope that she does put on a good show and it's not another example of someone past their sell by date and should have stayed retired from touring. I am,however, intrigued as to why she has decided to tour in her 50s when she was so adamant she would never do it again?

I think she will be too "professional" to do a show that isn't "on the ball", though how 15 dates at one venue is a tour, I don't know!

If she had come "oop north" I'd have considered it, but I saw her back in 79, and will make do with that.

Aeriel was a good album, 1 or 2 duff tracks, but much that was good.

"Simple! I'll have the musical talent of Steve Hackett" I replied!

As I recall, the reason she didn't ever tour was that she refuses to fly. I'm with Ned though; not interested.

Since there are no plans for her to come to the US, I don't even have to post a comment on this thread. Oh, wait.... smiley
