I cannot believe that the CalProg lineup for October 10th has It Bites as the headliners!
After listening to AOM and Karmakanic for over 3 hours, I can't imagine listening to It Bites for 2 hours. Karmakanic should close the show IMO.

11:00 12:30 TOUCHSTONE (Performance)
12:30 1:45 AOM/KM setup and sound check (House Cleared)
1:45 3:15 AGENTS OF MERCY (Performance)
3:15 3:45 Karmakanic setup and sound check (House Cleared)
3:45 5:45 KARMAKANIC (Performance)
5:45 8:00 Dinner Break / It Bites setup and soundcheck (House Cleared)
6:00 7:30 Tom Brislin solo on the patio
8:00 10:30 IT BITES (Performance)

You must see Touchstone, Dave. A fantastic gig here last Saturday cool
Setlist:

Wintercoast
Joker In The Pack
Zinomorph ( Full length)
Line In The Sand
Original Sin
Black Tide
Dignity
Voices
Strange Days
Solace
Discordant Dreams / The Beggar's Song
Starlight.

I can only remember this, as I nicked the setlist sheet off the stage wink

Great to meet the band and have a natter after the gig too. Wonderful night, made so much better having heard the 2 albums before hand, thanks again to you mate cool smiley

Glad to hear you enjoyed the Touchstone set Alan! I'm very much looking forward to hearing all the bands, but least of all It Bites. I hope I'm wrong and that I'm pleasantly surprised by their set.

What's not to like with It Bites? Certainly kick Touchstone into touch..if you'll excuse my metaphor!
John Mitchell on guitar and vocals. The last album was quite simply stunning.
I believe they are playing the whole of Once Around the World.

I saw many of the prog bands at the CRS over the last three years and It Bites were probably the classiest.

The Tall Ships I agree was stunning, but they can't play that for 2-1/2 hours. What else have they done that deserves headline status?

I'd better give OATW a few more spins. I recently purchased all of It Bite's albums, and The Tall Ships was the only one that floored me. The concert's this weekend so I'd better get on it.

Sometimes when you're not familiar with an artist's material and then you go see them in concert, you're blown away by their greatness. I'm hoping this is so with It Bites.

Relax. I'm pretty sure the It Bites section of your festival will be extremely good value. You may enjoy flower kings related bands more but I've just listened to Tall Ships again and OATW and frankly, I envy you.

Is that your first time seeing Martin Turner? I absolutely love his completely unauthorised version of Wishbone Ash. Powel may have carried the flag but Turner helps me to see what 70s Wishbone were really like. Enjoy and do tell me what you think.
