Next Saturday - AUGUST 1ST -
Two seats front row center for Nick D'Virgilio and his 14-piece band performing Genesis' LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY in its entirety. After the gig, Spock's Beard will take the stage and play some of their wonderful music. Nick was born in Whittier, California, and grew up there, and that's where the show is being held. Same place CalProg is held each year. I wonder if Neal Morse will show up................hmmm................. grin

IT'S GONNA BE QUITE AN EVENING! I will of course post photos........... wink

Here's a sampling of my Rewiring Genesis/Spock's Beard pics from the gig Saturday night! What a great show Nick and friends put on for everyone! smiley cool

They were filming a DVD of the show so we couldn't get out of our seats to take pictures, and they didn't want us to raise our cameras to take pictures either, so most of these shots were taken by me at gut level and are all taken without a flash. Only a couple of us were allowed into the 450-seat venue with our cameras. Papa Jim will be posting these and other photos on the CalProg site www.calprog.com pretty soon.

SPOCK'S BEARD PLAYED EXTENDED VERSIONS OF "THE BOTTOM LINE," "JUNE" AND "ON A PERFECT DAY" TO CLOSE THE SHOW - 3 HOURS OF GREAT MUSIC! KEYBOARDIST RYO OKUMOTO WAS IN JAPAN AND COULDN'T BE AT THE GIG, SO ONE OF NICK'S FRIENDS (CAN'T REMEMBER NAME) FILLED IN FOR RYO.
