I don't think she is.

I had the impression that she stepped out on the previous leg of this tour, presuming she would be along on this leg, apparently the last. Saturday seems to be the final gig of the tour, so I was hoping she would be there.

Looking at a set list from this past week, it certainly seems to lack any songs that are usually a showcase for her.

From the videos on YouTube, it looks like she wasn't there at the last gig in Ottawa. However that was a month ago and tomorrow's gig is being filmed, so perhaps she might come just for it?

Newton Faulkner in Guildford, 22nd November! grin

Also saw The Musical Box last night in Southend. A top-notch performance indeed but I was somewhat disappointed at the same time because several songs I expected to hear weren't played:

Stagnation
The Knife
The Return Of The Giant Hogweed
The Fountain Of Salmacis
Get 'Em Out By Friday
Can-Utility And The Coastliners

I know they can't play everything, but even so I expected at least a bit more. sad But it was still an excellent show anyway. Strange, dark and dreamlike, just like a classic Gabriel-era show should be. smiley

No Neko, but I thought Kathryn Calder and Simi Stone did a good job on female lead vocals. I was also surprised and pleased that they did a Dan Bejar song. Fun show overall.

I thought I spotted you in the orchestra section, right on one of the centre aisles, about 2/3 back? I was up on the balcony.

Yup, that was me. grin

Band sounded great, and I thought Kathryn's singing was particularly quite good.

I hope we get more than that in January. We're supposed to be seeing the SEBTP show.

Saw Justin 2 nights ago (but not in white satin! smiley) - FeelItComing, you're in for a treat, no spoilers, but among the set were 2 tracks from my favourite Moodies album, To our Children's...., one of them, opening the show, not even a song of his!

You also get the chance to buy the tour edition of "All the way", unlike the store copy, it's a 2 CD set, the second disc being all extra, and including the song, "It won't be easy" a theme tune to a BBC TV show years back called "Star Cops". Blue Guitar on CD 1 is the original Strawberry Studios recording, omitting the extra production on vocals and Guitar, and the Mellotron Strings (Let's hear it for Mellotron Strings! - wink) which allows you to hear Lol Creme's Gismo a lot more.

BTW, did you ever ask hubby, Glenn Hughes fan, if he has the Trapeze albums?

It was a great show. Some of the solo songs which I didn't know were almost country rock (The Western Sky). The young guitarist Mike Dawes was excellent, though I would have liked Justin to play some electric as well as acoustic.

There are a couple of Bluegrass songs on his last album, one a cover of It's cold outside of your heart. Mike Dawes is an amazing player. Did Justin open with "Out and In"? Notice Julie Ragins playing chords with her elbow? smiley

Yes, he opened with Out & In. I didn't know the song to my shame. I think we had the same setlist you did. I think I didd see the elbow stuff too. She was very good.

I saw The Rolling Stones three weeks ago. It was a great show. They did 20 songs. Highlights for me was: Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker), Slipping Away & Under My Thumb.

Closes side one of To Our Children's..., it's a Pinder/Lodge song, hence an interesting choice.
