Hah, Hah. Good joke. These guys don`t even come to mainland Europe (except for the Carpet Crawlers). So what makes you think, they should only waste a thought, going down under. Except if you are willing to take the costs for logistics and all, which might be around a fantastillion at least.

I didn't really think they would consider coming....I thought I would throw it out there, that's all.

Alright. Sorry, if I sounded a bit harsh, maybe, but same as you, I would love to see John Wilkinson`s band or the Carpet Crawlers or any other tribute band one day, especially as I never saw Genesis live and probably never will.

The only Genesis tribute, I ever saw, are The Musical Box from Canada, doing the SEBTP - tour. And they were simply amazing.

Enjoy. I've never seen Billy Bragg live, although I do enjoy both his early work (St. Swithin's Day is a particular favourite) and his stuff with Wilco.

Bah! Looks like I may have to scuttle my plans. undecided

Won't be getting out of work until later than expected, then there'll be the baseball game and Adele traffic to fight through during rush hour period...and afterwards. Too beat and tired to deal with all of that. tongue

I've seen Bragg once before at the Harbourfront about eight years ago. Always been a fan since the early 80's. He's a riot. I've been a Joe Henry fan for about 20 years, but never saw him live (he's played Hugh's Room a couple times I think). Great singer/songwriter. This should be a terrific show, but alas...

Well, that wasn't really the issue. I just didn't have either the motivation nor the physical well being to deal with a long, aggravating drive into the city and back, a drive that can be a pain even at the best of times. Realizing I would be leaving late, and with the knowledge of the ballgame and the big concert both taking place on my route, it just didn't seem worth the bother.

Gutted I can't see ReGenesis!

Anyway, I'm joining some friends to see Mama in Solihull this Saturday, instead.
