Should be a good concert. Enjoy Dr. J. cool

It was a great concert. Nice to see them back together again (last saw them at Lilith Fair in 1999, also at the Molson Amphitheatre). They played pretty much every popular song plus personal favourites like White Trash Wedding. They also did a nice tribute to Prince by covering Nothing Compares 2 U and a bluegrass cover of Beyonce's Daddy Lessons. I also thought it was cool that they quoted the lick to Little Feat's Dixie Chicken during one song.

This coming Friday night...Sarah McLachlan

Acoustic show on the opening night of the Toronto Jazz Festival
cool

Enjoy. She was fantastic the last time I saw her. Not sure what she has to do with jazz, aside from her cover of Gloomy Sunday many years back.

Sounds like it would have been a really good concert to see. Although I can't admit to being a follower/fan, I genuinely like what I've heard from them and respect their ideals.

I've made a point of seeing her last two tours, and generally make a point to see her live whenever I get the chance...(not only did I see her play at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto [geez, can't recall when], but I also saw her on her very first tour in a cafe/pub venue at McMaster University).

Anyway, Sarah is apparently supposed to play an "acoustic" show...or, at the very least, a kind of stripped down show that has been promoted as part of the Toronto Jazz Festival. I really don't care one way or the other. She's great to see and hear live, and as far as I'm concerned, that's all that matters. 😎

I'm going to see The Dire Straits Experience on October 5.

It includes saxophonist Chris White & drummer Chirs Whitten, both of whom I saw with Dire Straits itself.

Better than nothing; this will be the first time in my life I have gone to see a tribute band (hint to certain people on this board; I would love you to come down here).

Hah, Hah. Good joke. These guys don`t even come to mainland Europe (except for the Carpet Crawlers). So what makes you think, they should only waste a thought, going down under. Except if you are willing to take the costs for logistics and all, which might be around a fantastillion at least.
