My brother just sent me this pic of Steve Hackett playing in Brussels the other night. Check out who's on bass - Roine Stolt!!

At first I thought it was Nick Beggs, but my brother told me he's on tour with Steven Wilson.

Amazing that Roine and Nad Sylvan have gotten recognized by Steve H. and that he's asked them to join him on tour.

Dream come true for Roine, I'm sure.

Gonna be great, David!!

Both gigs are sure to please. Glad you're going to see Riverside. Just saw them last week and they were amazing. The crowd love them and the band showed their appreciation, big time.

I wish I could see Hackett with Roine. Hopefully they swing by the West Coast sometime next year.

it is Roine, yes. His role as bassist was announced months back, I guess it slipped past you. The ONE fact that has, I'd guess! wink

This Saturday going to see the incredible Mike Peters and the Alarm. Saw them last at the peak of their powers in the late 80's/early 90's. Followed his releases with interest. Tomorrow is a special concert in the Millennium Centre in Cardiff with a programme that includes a documentary film about Mike's life, the special concert with orchestra, and after gig party. Sounds amazing. They were always so much more than 68 Guns, one of their worst songs IMHO.
