Illness is given reason and no new date just refunds undecided

Best wishes

From the Manchester Evening News: “It is understood promoters have failed to find another Manchester date to fit the band’s tour schedule.” Confirmed by 2 emails yesterday saying automatic refunds will be paid within 14 days. sad

Don't think I'll be going to RUSH this week, unless my Friday changes. I went to buy a ticket for Steven Wilson on the 26th June but all sold out, and that venue is tough last minute. I wanted to go to NYC for Morrissey MSG but was too scared he would cancel.

So it looks like my next gig(s) will be U2 in three weeks. That should make up for it.

We'll also be at U2, on the Tuesday. Looking forward to it.

Henry, what did you think of Rush? I thought it was a very well-played show. I did find the reverse-order concept made the end of the show a bit lacking for me as those early tracks are not my favourites. I was impressed that Geddy could still hit some high notes for songs like Lakeside Park. The videos were pretty funny.

Very good show. We got a bit of a different setlist than the Wednesday concert. Ben Mink came on stage to play along during "Losing It". We got "YYZ" instead of "Red Barchetta", "Between the Wheels" instead of "Distant Early Warning", and a couple of other things I believe. It was funny watching Neil drumming to those early songs...it looked like he was just coasting. grin

I want the job of the guy who hands Neil the mallet when he plays the chimes. cheesy

We were disappointed we didn't YYZ - how can they play a Toronto show without it? But wouldn't want to have missed Red Barchetta.

I'm envious.
That would have been a concert goosebump moment, for sure.
Hope they recorded that show.

Yup, definitely a great moment when Geddy made the intro.

Yes, both shows in Toronto were filmed for a subsequent video release (I assume). They had two cameramen on stage, one big camera in the pit, another overhead camera suspended on a wire, and one near us at the side of the stage. At least those were all the cameras that I noticed.
