Hi Kev, saw Focus last year and they were in great form. Amazing to see Thijs Van Leer playing flute and organ at the same time shocked

House of the King blew me away.

Enjoy the gig.

The Dire Straits tribute gig was good last night. I would love to say it was a better than good (it should have been excellent), but unfortunately a good chunk of it was spoilt by two extremely drunk women who chattered, giggled and argued for most of the gig's duration, kept taking pictures of the band when photography is prohibited (and after receiving multiple warnings) and kept getting up and down from their seat to dance and deliberately block everyone's view. I blocked most of their stupidity out but there were times where it spoilt the show - even worse for the people sitting right next to them and the people one row behind them (we were two rows behind them). The worst part? Right after the show finished, the people sitting closest to them rightfully gave them a telling off, but the drunks actually acted offended and starting threatening and swearing furiously at everyone around them before security came to lead them away, as if their manic dancing and screeching was supposed to be funny. Obviously they were completely out of it. They had no idea where they were or what they were doing. I hope they now regret it.

But apart from that, a good show. All the best Dire Straits songs were played, and perfectly from start to finish. They bill themselves as the best Dire Straits tribute in Europe, and I can't see how they cannot be. They may as well be the best in the world, because I don't know how they could have been better. They were wonderfully energetic and fun, their instrumentation was melodious and always in absolute synchronicity, and the man playing the guitar solos was an absolute joy to watch.

So, what were they called then, Thomas? Just so I can see them if they come up here.

Sounds like the security people need replacing with some who know what the job SHOULD entail!
