I saw 3 gigs in 4 days last week, Anathema,Lifesigns and Bravado(Rush tribute) All excellent gigs with one complaint,and that is that Bravado were way too loud. The other 2 had the sound levels just right but Bravado left my ears ringing for 2 days after. I'll have to invest in some earplugs

Bit late to the party with this one, but in the last few days I've seen my two favourite discoveries of 2014 - on Sunday I saw the Tin Spirits at Summers End Festival and was totally bowled over, I bought the new album 'Torch' which is superb.
Last night I saw Syd Arthur at The Joiners, Southampton (bit of a dive but hey-ho) again fantastic band, performance slightly marred by a deaf sound guy who made things somewhat overloud... the new 'Sound Mirror' album another 2014 fav.

Next up Julian Cope.

Was the Bravado gig in the Moses Gate Dave?

We never used their sound guy as he seems to have one volume setting...FUGGING LOUD..... rolleyes
