Nothing until August 29th (Southampton - The Brook) when I'm seeing mid-seventies UK blue eyed soul proponents Kokomo, who are doing a series of reunion shows throughout August.
Their eponymous debut album (1975) was/is a blue eyed soul/funk classic.

Greenbelt Festival over August bank holiday weekend. An annual pilgrimage. This year looking forward to hearing Sinead O'Connor, Stornoway, Luke Sittal Singh amongst others.

Managed to get Kasabian tickets for Manchester in December when they went on sale this morning, despite the best efforts of the ticketing websites wink

Are they playing smallish venues in Manchester too? I noticed in a local paper that they are playing several dates at the Brixton O2 Academy, which is quite a small London venue. I would love to see, for example, Muse or Coldplay play in that sort of venue.

Sadly not. Iíd love to see them at the Manchester Academy which is a relatively small venue where Iíve seen Franz Ferdinand & the Kaiser Chiefs at quite close quarters, but given how big Kasabian are right now, itís an arena tour or nothing for anyone outside London. sad

I saw Hall and Oates last night and they were pretty good.. A bit disappointed that they only played hour and half. That's one hour and 10 minutes plus 2 encores of 2 songs. Maybe I've been spoiled.

May watch a band called Pinked Floyd tonight

Neither had I. Think they're just North West based though. Seemed to be members of a few different bands who have got together to form a Floyd tribute as 2 of the members were on at the same venue last week.
I had to leave after the first song of the second set(One Of These Days) due to last bus and work today sad

Yesterday I went to see a Muse Spanish tribute band called Mus. The singer was amazing!
