Hope you enjoyed it! How was he?

I'm hoping to be there with Jez, Steve! Didn't think you'd be there as I thought you were doing your marathon in Stratford that day. huh

Next gig for me is G2 Peterborough tomorrow. smiley

We did enjoy Frank Skinner, thanks Lesley; he's a very witty man and from our neck of the woods, so we enjoy his comedy all the more. Sat in our favourite 4th row, we were afraid that he'd choose one of us for his interrogations but we kept our heads down wink. The only bad thing was that the audience was even more sedate than when there are music gigs there. I love the venue but so many people don't seem to exhibit any enthusiasm for the performers sad.

Sunday night is a seated gig, rows of wooden chairs. My race starts at 09.00, so I'll have had a nice long bath, to recover and won't move far from my seat all night wink. Hope to see you and Jez there. We've got a couple of (non-Forum) friends joining us, as well the Mellotrons.

Enjoy G2 and say hello to the guys from me. I would have been there, if it wasn't for the run on Sunday.

Hi there

Ian Anderson next Friday in Liverpool. Looking forward to this one immensely. Shame is I'll miss the Fish gig in Liverpool the next day due to TWR commitments - oh well, can't have everything!

Shame about the audience. I do love Skinner's humour myself but tend to not go to live comedy much as I find it funnier on a DVD for some reason.

Didn't realise it was seated. I'll probably need that as I'm driving back from Peterborough earlier that day! (Not as energetic as a marathon, I hasten to add but tiring nevertheless!) grin I might still go even if Jez decides against it. smiley

Ok, will do if I get the chance to talk to anyone. Sometimes it's a bit more difficult to chat afterwards at theatres. The staff like to get you out asap once they've had your money!! wink grin grin

Well this wasn't the case last night as they kept the bar open afterwards and didn't hurry us up so we had the chance for a chat, which was nice!

Great gig by G2 again. Loved it! They really are the cream of the crop! grin

Next gig is tonight at the Robin (can't let the grass grow under me feet!! grin) - The Abbey Road Experience. smiley

See you later then, seems like a quite a few of us will be there. The band deserves a good turnout. Rich has got our Beatles tee shirts ready.

Will pick up some tickets for Dennis Chambers, Jeff Berlin, Scott Henderson trio. That promises some real fireworks…

Not sure if I will go to Lifesigns. Also thinking about North Sea Jazz this year (saturday tickets).

Next Monday, at Symphony Hall (front row wink) - Neil Finn, showcasing his new album, Dizzy Heights.

What a wonderful concert grin. Neil and his band played from 8.30 until 11.00, playing 30 songs, including 10 in the 2 encores. He only stopped playing because of the curfew! There are some talented young musicians in the band, as well as Neil's wife, Sharon, playing bass.

Our first time seeing him live and I hope we will see him many more times. Played songs from his 3 solo albums, Split Enz, Crowded House, The Finn Brothers and Pajama Club.
