I had thought of going to see Think Floyd at Radlett on Saturday. However, whilst they are very good, I think that 21+ for a ticket is a bit steep for a tribute band. Especially since I can see the equally good IMO Echoes (free) and The Floyd Effect (13) closer to home.

I paid 43 for my ticket to see The Australian Pink Floyd next week in Bristol, and don't begrudge a penny of it

I know what you mean. I have seen Aussie Floyd once and The Musical Box about four times and on most occasions, the tickets were more than 30 each. However, I loved all the shows and didn't regret paying that much money. I suppose it's a question of timing and how the finances are at the moment. Maybe in six months I'll feel able to pay over 20 to see Think Floyd. Enjoy Aussie Floyd next week Mal. smiley

The other side of that coin is that we will never see Pink Floyd perform in concert again, so how much are you willing to dole out for a Floyd gig?

The Brit Floyd gig I watched on tv a few nights ago was every bit as good (maybe even better) than the three PF gigs I've attended in the past (including The Wall gig).

Look how much Roger Waters tics go for. Mind you, he puts on one helluva show.

As my initial post on the subject implied, I have a good choice of other Pink Floyd tribute bands who regularly play close to home and who, based on previous experience, put on a very good show for far less money. smiley

Boot Led Zeppelin - Saturday 15th March, Putney.
Lissie (the real Lissie, NOT a tribute grin) - Tuesday 18th March, Shepherd's Bush.
Like... The Beatles - Sunday 30th March, Ruislip.

Hi there

Clannad's new album: Nadur is a belter and I can't wait to hear it played live. The band have been on stunning form the last few times I have seen them and the Philharmonic is a superb setting formusic such as theirs. Mind you, the Lowry is a nice venue too.
