Did you see them when Chris Cawte of G2 played with them? I saw them with and without Chris. It was really funny afterwards as he came and had a chat with me. My mates wondered who it was until I said it was the guitarist. He'd taken his long, black Jimmy Page wig off and nobody recognised him! grin

Hi there

New Brighton on Saturday to see The Mechanics. Looking forward to completing our interview sequence with Gary Wallis there too. Just hope the weather behaves itself!

Mike and the Mechanics at Bolton Albert Hall this Friday.
Thinking of going to the Band On The Wall in Manchester on Thursday to watch Godsticks/The Aristocats. I'll check them out on youtube first

Nice pair o'gigs you got there, Ned? grin

I wonder if The Watch have an official live DVD? I know there is a bootleg live recording of one of their shows, but the quality left a lot to be desired.

Too Petty (Tom Petty tribute), tonight in Watford, assuming my mate gets round to booking it in advance to secure a 2 per ticket saving.

No my friend, there is no official live DVD. I guess it comes down to expense and a small fan base. I think also that the fact they tend to do mostly genesis material live rather than most of their own material would rule out a live DVD because of copyright etc,

I may see you in Bury smiley

I won't be watching Godsticks in Manchester tonight as it's already sold out. The main attraction being The Aristocrats

My brother Roger in Oregon went to see Hot Tuna and David Lindley on Tuesday night. HT played an acoustic blues rock set.

Hot Tuna is a band comprised of Jefferson Airplane founding members Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen, plus multi-instrumentalist Barry Mitterhoff. HT was started in 1969 as a side project for Jefferson Airplane members since Grace Slick was ill for a period and could not perform.

It would,if only to see if you look like your avatar lol.

I'm hoping Mike and the Mechanics don't play any Genesis tonight. If they do anything that isn't Mechanics material,I'd like them to do something from Smallcreep's Day or Acting Very Strange
