I enjoyed Simple Minds and Ultravox last night. smiley But I would have enjoyed it a lot more if the the people in the row infront of us could have sat down! angry I hate standing up for too long at a gig personally; I like being comfortable while enjoying music, and after realising that these people were going to stay stood up for the entire show, I gave up and sat back down. My view of the band performing was obscured for most of the rest of the show, but at least I got to hear the excellent music. It's a shame, really. It could have been one of the best gigs I had ever attended if the people infront of us could have sat down, but it was still very good regardless. smiley I didn't know Ultravox would be that good - they were magnificent, and a lot of what they played was quite heavy for their genre! shocked cool

I also felt a bit poorly last night, which hindered my enjoyment of it a little bit. And now I've woken up this morning with a nasty chest infection. sad Oh well, that's winter for you! rolleyes

Excellent gig. Sweet were good but Slade were brilliant. A lot better than the first time I saw them 6 or 8 years ago. They did about 1 hour each and the gig was over by 10pm which meant I had to go to a pub for a pint til my train was due.

Mama on Saturday and probably Purson next Wednesday

Should be good, but they have a new (to me) lead guitarist.
