Looking good Steve!

Pity we won't see you at TMB later in April - Heather and I are going on Saturday.

Blimey Steve, that's an impressive list!

See you Friday at G2. (Hope Terry's throat is better!) Did I pay you for the ticket? huh

The Hackett gig was fantastic! Got to meet Steve and the band at the meet-and-greet. He signed my copy of the new CD plus my Genesis: I Know What I Like book, which I purchased in 1980 at a Steve Hackett concert at The Roxy in L.A. He had also signed the book for me previously in 1992 when he played at The Strand in Redondo Beach, California.

Steve was pretty worn out after playing 2-1/2 hours of straight-on Genesis classics. There is no other Genesis member performing Genesis music today. Only Steve.

He and the band put on an amazing performance. The sound was crisp and clear. The bass pedals were thunderous and Steve's guitar solos were out of this world.

Nad Sylvan was struggling with a cold or something and his voice was not up to par. He struggled throughout the show, but at times was quite magical, in that he truly can sound like Peter Gabriel.

Lee Pomeroy (Headspace) on bass pedals, backing vocals and double-neck twelve string/bass guitar was great too.

Gary O'Toole on drums was such an awesome presence. Talking with him after the gig, I told him how obvious it was that he enjoys his job, and he said, "How could I not be in heaven playing with these guys." I totally knew where he was coming from. Gary also sang Blood on the Rooftops and I believe Entangled. Wow! Unbelievably good.

Roger King on keys was like having Tony Banks onstage. He knew every nuance of Tony's compositions on each of the songs, which took the whole show to another level.

Last, but not least, is Rob Townsend on sax, flute, backing vocals and keyboards. His presence on that stage rounded out the whole band and if you closed your eyes, it was the Genesis we treasure so much brought back to life.

If you can, make it to one of Steve's concerts for the Genesis Revisited II tour. These memories are golden. You have to go.

Here are some of the pics I shot from Monday night's show.

You are going to love the show, Alan! Nad was under the weather during the L.A. show, and Rob and Lee were getting something as well. They apparently are over whatever bug they had, so your show should be even more amazing.

This will be an important and emotional gig for the band and I know how they'll feel.

I don't know them but wish them all the best smiley
