Muse gig cancelled entirely. sad There are no good tickets available for the 26th. We wanted to get seat tickets, but those are all booked. We don't want to stand up in a gigantic crowd jumping up and down in front of us all night. So, Muse is off for now. To be perfectly honest, I'm not too disappointed. When Dad said we were going to see Muse, I couldn't believe my ears that we could actually go - it seemed too good to be true - and was, so the shock of not being able to go isn't that big. In fact, I feel that it might have been too much for me, being in such an immense stadium with thousands of people, so I might not have enjoyed it much anyway. undecided

With the spare tickets Nikki has got you can chose where to sit wink

Okay... perhaps I'll reconsider it. I'll have to ask Dad first though.

Sounds Of Simon & Garfunkel, tonight, Watford. Should be a different kind of tribute band experience. smiley

I saw his warm-up show at The Stables last Monday. The guy is completely bonkers but it was an excellent show. Totally mad. I even found myself dancing the conga with him at one point! grin

8th [February] - Bravado (Rush tribute)

As a late convert to Rush, I would have loved to have seen the real band when they tour the UK later this year. After all, who knows how many more times they will return to these shores? Unfortunately the ticket prices were beyond my budget, particularly as I would've been a "Billy no mates", so it isn't going to happen. cry But seeing Bravado is the best alternative. smiley This is the fourth time I've seen these guys and they continue to amaze and astound. The great thing is that they've done a different set each time I've seen them and last night they played at least 3 or 4 tracks that I haven't seen them play before. Also, as a band that concentrate almost exclusively on the 1974-82 era, it was great to hear them play Far Cry from 2007's Snakes & Arrows album. cool I imagine that Rush must be one of the hardest bands to pay tribute to, because you've only got 3 guys to make a huge array of sounds. And yet I'm pretty sure they succeed - and then some - particularly based on the rapturous audience reaction. smiley The full set list this time was:

Anthem
Subdivisions
A Farewell To Kings
Lakeside Park
2112
Witch Hunt
La Villa Strangiato
The Spirit Of Radio
----------
Tom Sawyer
Far Cry
Between The Wheels
YYZ
(drum solo)
Natural Science
New World Man
Beneath, Between & Behind
By-Tor And The Snow Dog (first half)
Xanadu
----------
[Encore]
Working Man

If you're a Rush fan and you are unable to see the real band, go and see these guys - you won't be disappointed. cool

Rod Stewart cancelled for May 1st.

I'm somewhat relieved. The tickets were a gift.

Anyway, this means I have ZERO gigs planned, what a weird feeling.
